Well at least “front page of the New York Times sports section” news. SUNY Oneonta lacrosse captain Andrew McIntosh, who came out in February on the interwebs, says he’s been “embraced with open arms.” Well, except by his opponents, who’d still like to break them, or whatever it is LAX players do on the field.

Wow this is a relly handsome guy, damn I can’t help it, he’s completely hot.
I loved the stories in the links, I hope it can help other closeted athletes somewhere who feel the way he did once.
And maybe a little inspiration straight ppl too (for those who read it in the NY Times.

They spend time hitting each other with the stick in Lacrosse. The sport, also, if I remember, is based on a Native American game that would prepare young warriors for war that they called “little brother of war.”

Someday I hope– any athlete in any sport: highschool, college, semi pro or pro will be able 2 come out and it won’t need to make the news because it wont matter.
Probably not in my lifetime.
Oh yeah, this guy is a looke. I need to go learn more about lacrosse now!

I read the article, what was really said and quite striking was that his sister was(and had been) an out lesbian with her partner and he still was having these thoughts of suicide and depression. It goes to show how personal this all is, no matter how many stories you hear none of it matters until you’ve done it.
Brutus
@jeffree: Someday I hope no one will feel a need to “come out” because it won’t matter. They’ll just date people openly.
