Ryan and Clayton met at a coffee shop in Portland. Last week, Ryan gathered all of Clayton’s closest friends and had them meet at his boyfriend’s favorite bookstore, Powell’s Books. When Clayton showed up, he was greeted by his comrades, who led him upstairs, where a very nervous Ryan was waiting to pop the question while surrounded by books.

@hyhybt: Especially sad considering Powell’s has a fucking strongarm on the Bookstore scene in Portland. I mean, it’s like that for a reason, but we got some fuckin’ bookstores that ain’t Powell’s that are mad rad.
Side note: if you’re filming yourself doing a proposal in a public venue for all to see so you can post it on Youtube, it isn’t a fun and wonderful expression of love, it’s kind of a creepy and sad cry for attention.
If I had to do it, I’d do it at Crossroads on Hawthorne. Because I found the soundtrack to The Apple on Vinyl there and that makes it the best store in the Goddamn UNIVERSE.
