Gay Demon Exorcists 'Not Against Homosexuality' … Ha Ha Ha

Catching up with some old news about the Connecticut church behind the exorcism of a gay demon, CNN sits down with "priest" Patricia McKinney, who says the attempt to rid the boy in the video of homosexuality took place six or seven months ago, and he volunteered to receive "the power of the holy spirit."

It was a typical Sunday, you see. Stuff like this happens all the time.

Meanwhile, McKinney's 25-member Manifested Glory Church is being defended by something called the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission.

And let's be clear (hah!), McKinney & Co. are "not against homosexuality. We do not hate them. We do not come up against them. We just do not believe in their lifestyle." Aw, beautiful.

@laqueefa: Yes because blacks should get a pass on all bad behavior just because they are black. If you honestly think that, I don't give a fuck if you are black or not, you are the one that is racist.

On a side note, I'm sure that this church really doesn't see the harm it is doing. I'm sure they think they were helping this young boy. I'm sure they are completely and utterly idiotic, but I can understand the nature of the quote. Bitch is a dumb ass. Its that simple.

@laqueefa: You're a fucking idiot. How is a website racist? Because they show this ignorant ghetto prophet? Fuck that. I don't fucking care what race you are, if you're anti-gay you need to be outed.

Are they supposed to NOT show this because this bitch is black?

My word! Fundamentalists don't take responsibility for any of their actions, do they? Any time you do something wrong you can just yell "The devil made me do it!". You can blame it on a "spirit" and you don't have to deal with the consequences. I find these people's "beliefs" to be completely offensive.

She still sounds like a crack head. Why are all pentecostal pastors Ex-addicts or gang members. They all have a shady past they exploit to minister to people. Once a con man…

As both black and gay, I'm kinda hurt by all of this. The "exorcism" is disgusting and wrong and unforgivable. I really wish my community could come together to realize that all minorities share aspects of the same struggle and that homophobia is just as bad as racism.

and

The above comments also emphasize the tension I feel as part of both groups. Except for incidents of exoticism, the gay community isn't overly minority friendly; I am tokenized at many gay events, and Tank's comments emphasize that there is anger and racism among the community.

We are all much better served by trying to work together.

This kind of stuff happens all the time in pentecostal-type churches – white and black – all over the country. It's just as rigorous for other "demons" they are after. Nothing more than psychotic behavior – which is at the root of much of the religion in this country.

@Delial: The majority of the de-programing camps are ran by radical whites if that is of any consolation. I mean, this is far from a black issue. So, don't feel bad just because these bigots are black.

Also, I guess I have never really seen the same racism in the black community that you have experienced. I in now way doubt that you have experienced, but from where I come from, in my presence at the gay bars I have always seen plenty of black people.

However, I think it helps that about three of our leading drag queens from the area (who have won both state and national titles) are black and have helped to support the racial equality cause. It probably also helps that the entertainment director at the clubs I go to have always been black or extremely black friendly (the one club I go to the entertainment director there has a black "husband").

@TANK:

And I'd like to just put it out there that I can't be racist. I mean, I saw big momma's house and big momma's house 2. IT's crazy talk!

Interesting this preoccupation over the race of the congregants, which undoubtedly would not be an issue were they white.

Interesting, but not surprising.

Why Religion holds mankind back from advancement beyond the Bronze Age mentality.

If this were not so tragic it would be funny.

How dare anyone suggest that there's more religiosity (measured in people who attend service at least once a week) in the black community than white! That's racism!

Pfff, I suppose if you believe in an imaginary sky pixie then you'll believe anything, like demonic possession or witches.

Of course, they're probably not big on things like evidence.

If a guy wants to quit fuking guys, guess you could have a fat black mosex hater badgering you to fuking death scream'n at the top of her lungs all over your body.
Or, it seems if he wants to stop it that bad because he hates his nature and is so conflicted, he could just stop and not be such a drag queen about it. What a drama doc.

My Dodge Dakota is having trouble — pretty sure it's a gay demon. Does her church have a branch in Phoenix?
