Gay Dilution Delusions
Mark Latham (pictured), former leader of Australia’s Labor Party, has caused quite a stir with his new and ridiculously titled book, A Conga Line of Suck Holes. In it, Latham insists that gays are bringing down Australia, writing “Those gays are diluting men with their gayness.”
The only way we can imagine a gay man diluting another man’s so-called masculinity involves a bit of lube and a willing hole. Even then, that’s not an erosion of masculinity, that’s just good, clean fun.
Here’s another quote from Latham’s book: “Australian mates and good blokes have been replaced by nervous wrecks, metro sexual knobs and tossbags”. Hmm, that’s funny, we only see one tossbag here. And for once it’s not us!
You might want to withdraw these comments. Pink News have stated that they reported in error that Latham had made homophobic statements. In addition, I am a gay man who worked in Latham’s office for a period of close on three years, clearly identified myself as such to him and never once, in all that time, did I hear him make one homophobic statement. In fact, he was a strong supporter of gay rights.
