Gay Flirtation Led To Anti-Gay Rape?

This makes no sense:

A Cicero man angry about an alleged homosexual advance raped the man he claimed propositioned him, and then sodomized him with a broomstick, officials said.

Felipe Rivera, 43, is charged with a hate crime as well as aggravated criminal sexual assault and other offenses, said a spokesman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. If convicted, he could face more than 30 years in prison, a source said.

So you combat unwanted gay advances by raping your would-be suitor? That’s queer.

I can understand the guy. Same thing happened to me the other day when I felt threatened by a Mormon at my door who just wouldn’t take no for an answer. It was in self-defense!

Rivera sounds like a dirtbag, but technically, if he WAS propositioned, it wouldn’t be rape, would it?

This just confirms that rape is about violence, not sex.

HK Guy, you’re saying that if you proposition me, and I shove a broomstick up your ass, it’s not rape?

You are joking, right?

No, no – the broomstick is ugly and horrible. But if he fucked him per se, IF (and he says he didn’t) if he propositioned him, would that be rape?
