It’s hard for us to even say this, but, uh, could you please tune in to The Tyra Banks Show tomorrow? You’ve all seen them act, but gay-for-pay porno actors get grilled by Tyra with the tough questions. Like … are you sure you’re not just a little bit gay? Too bad Reese Rideout wasn’t one of the guests.

I don’t know who any of those men are; but the comulative gay-face present on that stage is powerful enough to revive the long dead Liberace and send him on a horrifying spree of Chopsticks and brain eating.

Wow, I definitely recognized one of the guys. It’s Dean, formally of Straight College Men fame!
Yeah, I always questioned him…he was just a little too good…

Can we please beat Tyra down now?

@Paul Raposo: Gay face lol! I had to explain to my dad recently what that meant (seems self explanatory to me).

@boy in mo: I think you mean “Formerly”. And yes, that would also be the one I recognized as well.

The first guy, married with 3 kids, is Kurt Wild, who I’m surprised hasn’t been recognized as he has a fairly high profile in the industry and has made a bunch of films for the big studios. Maybe it’s because we’re just not used to seeing him clothed…
ggreen
Gay face, Gay hair, Ugly wives. of course they are straight.

Yep. You just gotta see it to know what it means 8^)
What did your father say when you explained it?
@Slavek:
Isn’t he the jackass who was fired from his job when the manager found out he was doing porn and then claimed gay discrimination?
Paul Raposo
@Paul Raposo:
Yes he is, and here’s the link:

@Paul Raposo:
Why do you call him a jack ass? As I recall, he worked at Subway. Someone complained about his porn past and he got fired.
I don’t understand how the guy’s sideline as a porn actor should cause him to lose a job at Subway serving $2.69 mini-subs. The guy is married and had a family. He needed the job and whatever benefits he might have received.
Finally, why is there so much hypocrisy about porn performers in our country? Porn is a big business. Hotels and telecommunication companies all make significant revenue from it. Consumers buy the stuff day after day, fueling the industry.
Somehow, the performers are always the one who receive the worst criticism. The whole gay-for-pay thing results from the fantasies of gay men wanting to sleep with straight men. Why not be honest that many porn performers are actually desperate or damaged people?
PearlsBeforeSwine
I was thinking that if these guys are completely straight, then some of them ought get acting awards. Then I remembered the Adult Video Awards (who have a show and everything). I thought I would check to see if they have a Best Gay for Pay category. I am shocked to see how homophobic they are. They don’t seem to have any gay categories.

(Sorry, I just realized how gender-centric I am being. They do have awards for the Lesbians. Except they use the phrase All-Girl.)

I LOVE KURT. His Corbin video is my fav of all time.
Paul Raposo
@blake:
Why do you call him a jack ass?
Because he says he’s straight, yet claimed gay discrimination when fired.
It’s bad enough he’s a het taking away a job from any number of fine, upstanding homosexual gentlemen who wish to fuck in public. But to ride the discrimination coattails that his kind have spent years heaping upon us is unconscionable.
But seriously, this is the age of the internet. Any one of these guys could make money doing women in front a webcam. The idea that straight people steal everything from us–even gay sex–is pathetic. We do have much in common with black people.
kevin
There’s obviously some kind of sexual symbiotic relationship between the hetero-homo male communities. How else would you explain the abundance of shaved pubes amongst straight men in their photos on adult personals websites and on “straight men” websites like Military Classified and Straight College Men?
Frankly, seeing clean-shaven straight male pubes makes me realize that vanity isn’t just a gay poodle thing.
Thank god for the bear scene.

@Paul Raposo:
These guys are not stealing anything. They’re niche performers. There are gay porn producers for every marketing or fetish niche one could imagine.
You are also making the claim that porn is a great career choice instead of the reality that for many people, going into a career in porn is done because they are financially desperate, dealing with mental health issues (like surviving sexual assault), or drug addiction. There is a certain amount of predation that occurs in straight and gay porn. The performers are used and tossed aside.
What legitimate career options do many of these people have after porn? Look at your own thoughts.
As for Kurt Wild complaining about gay discrimination, it does not matter if a person is gay or not if the discriminating party is acting on the basis of anti-gay motivations! There have been straight men and women who have been the victims of anti-gay hate crimes because they were perceived as non-straight. Hell, go to any high school, you will find straight kids beaten up for their supposed homosexuality.
I don’t think you understand how anti-discrimination law works. If a white person who protests anti-black racism is fired, he or she could sue for discrimination.
Gabe
Is it me or does any one else offended at the “gay for pay.” It can be interpreted by others as being gay as a choice. Someone is being paid lots of money to have sexual relations with another male but identifies as being “straight.” So its a bad thing to have gay sex? Is it so terrible that you have to be paid a large sum of cash?
I understand the fantasy behind it -seeing “straight men” interact with gay men…but at the same time we say its not a choice to be gay…would the straight community get them confused between having gay sex and being in a gay relationship. And those engaging in gay sex, are they are gay rights or against?

Nope. Still want to beat her down. With the Js. And then burn all three of them at the stake for heresy. And play the tape of it on the Typrah Winbanks show.

No. There are gay porn companies run by straight men and women who believe straight is better. That is why they pay straight models like Atlas whats-his-name a fortune to get a blowjob and pay openly gay Matt Rush a pittance to give a blowjob. And there are gay men who fall for this bullshit and help perpetuate the myth that straight models are better than gay models.
You are also making the claim that porn is a great career choice
Obviously, blake you do not understand satire.

Then get a job, or get medical help. When I was broke as fuck I didn’t think, “Hey! I’ll fuck strangers in front a camera for pennies!”
There is a certain amount of predation that occurs in straight and gay porn. The performers are used and tossed aside.
Contrary to what Linda Lovelace claimed, no one held a gun to their heads.
What legitimate career options do many of these people have after porn? Look at your own thoughts.
Oh, I don’t know. Cum dumpsters; knob polishers; removing the chrome from trailer hitches; jock strap testers. Any number of fine, suitable employment options.
As for Kurt Wild complaining about gay discrimination, it does not matter if a person is gay or not if the discriminating party is acting on the basis of anti-gay motivations!
True.
There have been straight men and women who have been the victims of anti-gay hate crimes because they were perceived as non-straight. Hell, go to any high school, you will find straight kids beaten up for their supposed homosexuality.
Those are legitimate situations of anti-gay bias, none of which involve people who make a living having gay sex, while claiming to be straight. And to compare victims of anti-gay bias, or violence to porn sluts is ridiculous. Kurt Wild is not Mathew Shepherd hanging on a barb wire fence.
I don’t think you understand how anti-discrimination law works. If a white person who protests anti-black racism is fired, he or she could sue for discrimination.

The idea that being born gay/bisexual remains to be UNPROVEN. There is STILL no solid evidence that being gay is inherent or biological, so to say that you are gay from birth doesn’t account for the whole population. If you believe you are born that way that’s fine, but to think that should apply to other people just because of your experiences, doesn’t make it so. It MAY be a choice for some but not for all. In the gay-for-pay actor’s case, it’s clearly a choice because of the economical gain. I highly doubt they are saying that “being gay” is disgusting or bad by any means, because if they thought it was, they wouldn’t have done it from the beginning or they would have stopped after the first scene. I could understand being uncomfortable some of the time because of a more physical attraction to women, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy the sex with men either.
blake
@Paul Raposo:
Paul,
Are you serious? The reason why there are sites that market straight guys having gay sex is because there are gay men who pay for it. This isn’t about heterosexism at all. Nor does it make sense that some straight person is going to say “Gee, straight men having gay sex is superior than two gay guys getting it on because straight people are better!”
No, look at gay men who lust after straight guys for the reason why there are straight.
Also, your use of the phrase “porn sluts” is ridiculous and continues our socities hypocritical stance on sexuality, in particular how we judge porn performers. What business is it of anyone else’s if someone has many sexual partners if that person is not hurting someone? Also, why does society continue to place all of the scorn on the performers or even the porn producers when the hotel and telecommunications companies, Hyatt and AT&T, for example, make billions, and the consumers demand more and more?
Also, because you were broke and did not have to turn to sex work says a lot about your self-esteem. But, a lot people are damaged. They lack the strength that you have. People do self-destructive things like take drugs or perform in porn.

@Danny:
The idea that being born gay/bisexual remains to be UNPROVEN.
Nor has it been disproved, Danny.
There is STILL no solid evidence that being gay is inherent or biological,
Nor is there any evidence that homosexuality is not biologically driven, or innate.
However countless studies have been done showing homosexuality present not only in the animal kingdom, but all through mankind’s time. To claim homosexuality is not a trait humans are born with is absurd in the face of evidence to the contrary.
so to say that you are gay from birth doesn’t account for the whole population.
It accounts for those who identify as such even from a young age, whether we knew what it was, or not.
If you believe you are born that way that’s fine,
Why thank you, Danny. That’s mighty white of you.
but to think that should apply to other people just because of your experiences, doesn’t make it so.
And just because some are too cowardly to admit something to themselves, should not downplay the identities of those who have the balls to accept something as innate as their sexuality.
It MAY be a choice for some but not for all.
So are you now claiming that gays choose to be gay? A physical type that one finds attractive is a choice, or preference; sexuality is not, Danny.
In the gay-for-pay actor’s case, it’s clearly a choice because of the economical gain.
In other words, they are whores.
I highly doubt they are saying that “being gay” is disgusting or bad by any means,
They do every time they announce that they are most certainly straight; market themselves as straight; and earn more money because they assert their heterosexuality.
because if they thought it was, they wouldn’t have done it from the beginning or they would have stopped after the first scene.
You just claimed they have sex with men for money. Which one is it, Danny, they do it for money, or they don’t? Frankly, whores don’t care where they put it, as long as they get paid.
I could understand being uncomfortable some of the time because of a more physical attraction to women, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy the sex with men either.
Again, are they doing it for money as you claimed, or for the sex?
Get back to your set, Danny, your director’s calling. Hanging around Queerty might damage your straight rep.

@blake:
The reason why there are sites that market straight guys having gay sex is because there are gay men who pay for it.
And therein lies the absurdity. How can two men having sex still be considered straight by their viewers? Seriously. If gay men want to see straight men having sex, they should sign up for straight porn sites–those model’s sexuality is certainly not ambiguous.
This isn’t about heterosexism at all.
Yes it is. When models who loudly identify as straight make more money than models who identify as gay, or bi, then there is certainly an anti-gay bias coming into play.
Nor does it make sense that some straight person is going to say “Gee, straight men having gay sex is superior than two gay guys getting it on because straight people are better!”
They will say that if they believe that it is better for the bottom line. And clearly it is, since by your admission, so many gay men pay money to watch self-identified straight models have sex.
No, look at gay men who lust after straight guys for the reason why there are straight.
Ah! You mean pathetic, lonely losers who avoid confronting their own sexuality by lusting after something they will never have.
Also, your use of the phrase “porn sluts” is ridiculous and continues our socities hypocritical stance on sexuality, in particular how we judge porn performers.
You’re right, blake, that was offensive–offensive to sluts! Sluts give it away for free; porns stars want money, so that makes them whores.
What business is it of anyone else’s if someone has many sexual partners if that person is not hurting someone?
None, if that person is not whoring in front of a camera, or on the street. It makes a huge difference if that person is barebacking on film.
Also, why does society continue to place all of the scorn on the performers or even the porn producers when the hotel and telecommunications companies, Hyatt and AT&T, for example, make billions, and the consumers demand more and more?
Because people are horny all the time. And when they are involved with a person they are not attracted to, or are alone, they will masturbate while watching porn. Hotels know this, especially since so many of their straight male customers most likely only have access to porn while away from their wives, so the hotels will capitalize on that. Hyatt, At&T and porn producers are greedy, not stupid.
Also, because you were broke and did not have to turn to sex work says a lot about your self-esteem.
No, it says something about my intelligence. When I was broke, I was severely depressed and ripe for the picking. But I asked myself if I wanted to spend the rest of my life knowing men would be jerking off over videos of me getting fucked, while the owners of those films made money forever, while I only got a lousy $225, and I answered no.
But, a lot people are damaged. They lack the strength that you have. People do self-destructive things like take drugs or perform in porn.
Maybe they lack common sense, or friends who care enough about them to judge them and their actions.

Think of how many gay actors, politicians, and priests are straight for pay. I wouldn’t put too much importance on sexuality as determined by income source. A prostitute isn’t a slut, even though she/he plays one for pay.

LOL! I keep hearing how those “straight” performers have to be supplied with viagra, or stare at girly mags, before a sex scene because they have trouble getting hard.
Whatever. Personally, I think most of those “gay-for-pay” guys are as straight as Larry Craig and have serious troubles coming to terms with their sexuality. They are probably gay, or most likely bi, and in complete denial about it. They use money as a legitimate excuse to make themselves feel less guilty or “gay”. And many of these porn stars probably come from small and conservative towns where they have warped views on both hetero and homosexuality. And it probably doesn’t help that many of these porn directors/producers constantly repeat to these boys how straight they are in order for them to perform. “Oh don’t worry, hon. That dick in your mouth don’t make you gay!” *wink wink*
Although Paul makes some good points, Blake hits the nail on the head with this one –
“The reason why there are sites that market straight guys having gay sex is because there are gay men who pay for it.”
It really is that simple. If gay men had no desire to watch this crap, it wouldn’t be here. Self-loathing plays a part it. I think that in a predominately straight society, it does bring out the message that straight is still better than being gay, and that the “ideal” or “real” man is hetero. That’s not true, but that’s the message that reaches not only to other straight men, but to gay men as well. So it’s not entirely gay men’s fault for this. If we lived in a different world where gays were treated the same as straights, we probably wouldn’t have this straight worship crap.
I remember posting a question on some gay porn site about why the obsession for straight men in gay porn or just straight porn in general. Some gay guy replied that straight men were masculine and “real” men. So there you go.
And I also don’t understand why any gay man would want to watch straight porn period! It’s worse than watching that “gay-for-pay” crap. Talk about gross!
Sorry for the long rant. =)

The other guys might be straight but there is not a doubt in my mind that Kurt is gay. He was trying so hard to hide his gay mannerisms, couldn’t even be consistent if the girl was his wife, his girlfriend or his fiance. I actually felt kind of bad for him, he seemed in terrible and painful denial.
Also, maybe he is just uncomfortable but he comes off as dumber than a rock.

Right on, Iggy!
Why CAN’T these guys be straight and like dick on the side? There’s no code that says that anal-fucking or dick-sucking is exclusive to gay men. After all, one’s sexual identity can be defined in so many ways; one’s sexual orientation and one’s sexual activity need not be mutually exclusive.
I mean: haven’t you guys ever thought that maybe – JUST MAYBE – these guys are not attracted to guys at all but STILL get plenty of pleasure from a blowjob or a good ol’ fucking? Hey, they may not even like their gigs, but if it pays well, then…..
Bill
@Paul Raposo:
The reason that these guys haven’t gone into straight porn is that the opportunities there for male performers are far less lucrative than they are in gay porn. And in gay porn, with the exception of the small “Straight guys for gay eyes” type of niche, the male performers fuck other guys.
Sure, the idea that the guys doing it with each other are straight is a fetish for some gay guys, but I’m sure that’s not the only reason straight guys get cast on sites like Sean Cody. Imagine how many guys that site has to audition in order to produce the sheer volume that it does – if they only cast guys who were gay in real life, it would hamper their chances at finding enough fresh, hot, guys to make their site work. As long as the guy has the right look, is willing and able to perform the necessary acts, and can project the necessary eroticism on camera, his “real” sexuality shouldn’t matter. Gay-for-pay is a market-driven phenomenon on all fronts.
Gene
Aaron James stated on his myspace that he is attracted to certain guys but calls himself straight because he hasn’t found the right guy to be with. I just don’t understand that. Just because you haven’t met the right guy does not mean you’re straight. If a straight person haven’t met the right women does that mean he’s gay? No. He seems to be a psychological mess.

Why are people so offended by the “gay for pay” thing? It seems there are more pressing issues than if some straight guy is stealing a porn job from a gay guy. It seems to me if you don’t want to look at this type of porn, don’t. If you do go ahead. By the way, did anyone else almost fall over when Tyra asked the first guy if he preferred to “give or recieve Christmas presents”? God love her. She truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

@Paul Raposo: the reason he claimed gay discrimination is because when he originally signed an employment contract with subway, he alerted them to the fact that he was in the porn industry and still did it as a ‘side job’. Subway then discriminated against him when they found out that it was gay porn at a later date – hence the gay discrimination Paul.

A ton people say cufflinks are in the past, but from my viewpoint, they are 100% way off. Cufflinks will not go anywhere, whether they are worn at weddings, special events or for a simple good time. Cufflinks really do spice up someones attire and whenever I give a pair to someone, they think it’s the coolest thing to happen to them since Michael Jackson did the moonwalk.
