Good man, Rudy! Sooner or later these GOP-TPods will learn that anti-people ads are not going to win them elections. It might as well be sooner.
The GOP state reps who voted for gay marriage in NY have on average I beleive raised about 5 times more than in previous elections.
Some of the Dems and GOP reps that voted against it earlier were targeted and defeated.
Being pro-gay has now become the safer political option there.
How quickly we forget his craptacular presidential campaign: urged us to keep DADT in place until The War on Terror was over (still not over, and not likely until at least the end of 2014), said that a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage might be needed “if DOMA fails.” Did the writer of this piece suddenly forget that he is openly opposed to gay marriage and called the NY marriage bill “wrong?” Ironic from an adulterous man now on his third wife, but you know what they say: “Third time’s a charm.”
His support is inconsistent at best, and he lacks any integrity to stand by it, so please don’t insult my intelligence by saying that he’s “pro-gay rights.” Either one believes gays and lesbians deserve substantive equality before the law or he does not – civil rights do not allow room for negotiation. Needless to say, Giuliani does not. I’m most hurt and angered by people like Giuliani who seem progressive on gay rights when it suits them, but who then don’t hesitate to throw us under the bus when we’re no longer useful to their political ends.
Rudy has been notoriously silent about the massive national war on gay people currently being waged by the republican party.
