Queerty is better as a member
He is not running for the Senate he is running for the House of Representatives.
They promised to lynch him last, and nothing more.
“”I feel totally comfortable [in the GOP]. I’m sure that there are a few knuckleheads that will, you know, look at me based on my sexuality as opposed to what I bring to the table.””
You mean like the top of your ticket, Mitt Romney saying that he would not have signed the repeal of DADT. or Paul Ryan appearing before an anti-gay group promising them to fight against gay rights….
You mean knucleheads like that?
I’m confused if Queerty intended this article as an “Atta boy!” for a gay politician or a slam at a gay politician for daring to stray from the Demnocratic party. Judging from the responses, it’s apparently the former.
Haters are gonna hate, it’s what you were born to do (and time and again, you’ve proven you do it so well).
The typical GOP gay deflection ploy…ignore the fact or substance of what somebody said. I pointed out that the top of the GOP ticket set out very clearly the way in which they oppose gay rights, but this guy just tries to call me a “Hater” for pointing it out.
Interesting that my not liking their position on taking away MY rights is me “Hating” but their HAVING those opinions is given a free pass by you.
That perfectly shows the underline goal of the gay GOP groups. Hide the GOP bigotry any way they can.
@Cam: He’s upset one of his paid friends had an accident last week, that’s why he wasn’t on the irc channels or anywhere co-ordinating with his friends over the past 7 days. I’d tell him how it happened and who did it, but I… don’t know anything about that, at all.
@Cam: From what issue did I attempt to deflect? I simply commented on Mr. Tisei’s quote as published by Queerty and your attempt to turn it into a indictment on DADT and Romney/Ryan. The affiliation is a desperate one, at best—sort of like calling Obama a Twitter perv because he and Anthony Weiner are both Democrats. See how easy it is to demonize anyone based only on their party affiliation?
Silly hate-monger. Thankfully, the rest of the world recognizes that you and your kind aren’t the poster children of tolerance as you’d like to believe you are, and they see right through you to the red-hot hatred churning inside you. Might as well be holding a sign or wearing a T-shirt. Yes, it’s that obvious.
Looks like you hit a sore spot Cam, keep at it. I love it when they unravel.
I agree with Cam. Hater = those whose actions take away our civil rights. Pointing out these facts is free speech.
You have it the other way around as if trying to take away our civil rights is free speech and pointing them out is hating on Ryan (who I can’t stand. I could’ve voted for Romney but Ryan is just too extreme with his stand on legitimate rape)
@Cam: Posting again just to be sure you see it.
Gay Republicans get all upset when gay Democrats look on them with scorn and label them as psychologically damaged. And then people like Mitt Romney propose something as vile as codifying discrimination against gays and lesbians in the US Constitution, in the year 2012, and you have to ask yourself, what kind of self-respecting gay person would help to elect someone who thinks so little of their own humanity?
Perhaps the reason we keep labeling gay Republicans self-loathing is because there’s no other explanation for why a group of people would support those who wish them harm. It’s like political S&M, without the safe word.
@doug105: wrong reply ment @Cam:
BJ McFrisky can’t seem to get that right today.
Sad that he’ll be nothing more than camiflage for their agenda….
