Gay-Looking Lady Prisoners Cordoned Off From GenPop For Not Shaving, Burning Bras

womenprison1

Oh wait — did we confuse ‘em with feminists? “Virginia’s largest women’s prison rounded up inmates who had loose-fitting clothes, short hair or otherwise masculine looks and placed them in a separate cell block. That’s according to prisoners and corrections officers who talked to The Associated Press about the practice. They say dozens were moved in an attempt to split up relationships and curb illegal sexual activity at the 1,200-inmate Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women in Troy. Some straight women were sent to the wing strictly because of their appearance. Civil rights advocates called the moves unconstitutional punishment for ‘looking gay.’” [AP]

No. 1 · Bitch, please!

I guess that throws a bucket of ice cold water at all the straight guys and their fantasies of lipstick lesbians doing sapphic love scenes within prison cells. Sorry straighties, these are bull dykes who are probably more manly than you guys will ever be.

Sorry, I’m not totally up on this, but did they try to cut down on lesbian sex by putting all the lesbians together? Do “butch” lesbians not ever have sex with other butch lesbians? I’m pretty sure I know some couples that are both butch, though I’m not sure I’ve got that definition totally right.

In the spirit of Evelyn Harper (Hope Emerson) “lock’em up and treat’um all like a bunch of animals” just before Warden Ruth Benton (Agnes Moorehead) replied “get out of here” the sadism continues nearly 60 years later. Emerson’s sadistic portrayal of a lesbian guard won her an oscar nomination (she was robbed) and Eleanor Parker won for best actress playing a young innocent who finally relented in the end to those women. IT IS A MUST SEE IF YOU CAN FIND IT ON AMC OR TCM.

That movie was called Caged, to date the best womens prison movie ever made. A few scenes from it and the trailer are on http://www.youtube.com Check it out and see how lesbian frustration was portrayed back in the 1950′s.

“but did they try to cut down on lesbian sex by putting all the lesbians together? “ Well when you put it that way, it sounds stupid! :)

WTF! So wrong. Treating “gay-seeming” women differently than any other women is discrimination.

Not shaving? LOL. Who shaves in prison?

I’m not sure why this is a shock. Prisons have segregated by Race for decades.

Didn’t I see an old, cheep, German movie about something like this? Or am I thinking about the ones with the all girls schools and the nuns?
