‘Gay’ Okay.

The brother of a murder victim in Malta sued three newspapers for defamation after the called his brother gay. A judge, however, ruled that calling someone gay does not amount to defamation and, quite frankly, the man needs to get with the times: “The fact that homosexuality was a criminal offense until 1973, said the magistrate, does not reflect the situation in the 21st century.” [Malta Independent]
