Until the photo accompanying this post I had never seen Jason before – only heard him on TV from the next room. Now I can safely say “Jason, don’t worry about telling your parents. They already knew. Anyone who has ever heard you talking knows. You are the queeniest sounding man I have ever heard, not that that’s a bad thing. It just makes it hard for anyone else to assume that you are anything but gay.

Errr… Jason, my friend, no need to worry about that closet door…

But, seriously, this whole ordeal shows just why we don’t need/shouldn’t have 40% of the delegates be Superdelegates. Maybe past presidents and current governors/senators deserve to be there as superdelegates, but that’s about it. There’s no way any one person, like Jason, deserves to be courted almost as heavily as some of these smaller, less important states. I wouldn’t be shocked if the campaigns have contacted Jason more often than they’ve campaigned in Delaware or Rhode Island.

Good luck, Jason. The media can be savagely homophobic and you will even encounter homophobia within the Democratic Party. The hardest thing to take is the vitriol from other Gays (horizontal violence) who will tear you down for being yourself and not this unrealistic view of dysmorphic beauty in glossy magazines and commercial porn films.
