"A New York man who's the surviving partner in a same-sex marriage [performed in Canada] is legally entitled to inherit his late spouse's estate, a Manhattan judge has ruled. The decision by Surrogate's Court Judge Kristin Booth Glen recognizing Craig Leiby as the sole heir of Ken Ranftle's multimillion-dollar estate is believed to be the first of its kind in New York." I can start marrying rich old men for their money! Anna Nicole, I knew you would teach me something in this life.
this is exciting and sad at the same time. Exciting that we are finally getting treated equally and sad for the same reason. (that is took sooo long to get treated equally).
And this is the worst example of all – the person who died certainly knew what marriage meant or he wouldn't have gone to Canada to do it. Why would the courts ever be so presumptious as to NOT honor the deceased nonverbal non written, but obvious intent?
Well, at least it's official: the point of same-sex marriage is for rich people to get other rich people's money.
There's nothing queer about that. Live in sin instead!

Taht from the person whose pen name smells and probably tastes more like "Balut" than Faberge L'Eggs!
