Gays "Diseased."

Rabbi Ratzon Arussi of KIryat Ono, Israel, doesn't have a high opinion of the homos: "It is doubtlessly a disease, seeing as anything in nature that deviates from the norm is a disease… We must make an effort to act in an intelligent way so that those who have homosexual tendencies are treated and rehabilitated." If anything in nature that deviates from the norm is a disease, then Albert Einstein was diseased because of his extremely high intelligence that deviated from the norm. I have one word for the Rabbi, "Poppycock!"

For someone who is supposed to be acting in an intelligent manner, he comes off rather stupid.

Us queers are simply the last hope for any oppressed people looking to tear someone else down to make themselves feel a bit better.

Yes, KevinF, as Einstein departs from the norm in intelligence, so did Michael Jordan in basketball… and just keep making the lists.

Why don't people see beauty and creativity in diversity and difference? It would be a dull and predictable world otherwise.

Intelligent people probably go to a medical doctor, not a rabbi, to find out what is and is not a disease.

I'm really worried now. I'm 6' tall, but the norm for American women is 5'6". What kind of doctor should I see to be cured? I'm so nervous and scared.

Religion is a disease, and should be treated as such. It causes enormous pain and suffering,a nd prevents people from living their lives in a sane and rational manner.

Didn't the Nazis think the same thing about him and his kind?

This rabbi is not representative of the general opinion of Israelis. Gays in Israel are protected with anti-discrimination laws (including employment discrimination), are allowed to adopt, have common-law marriage (civil marriage doesnt exist in Israel), are allowed to bring their foreign partners to live with them and allowed to serve in the military.

Fuck that Rabbi and the horse he road in on. Who gives a fuck what some piece of shit religious leader has to say about anything.
I think all religious leaders are grosse. There is a reason they put on drag and join some cult that holds them as being superior everyone else, its because they are hiding behind it. Why are these people so important that we would even care what they say?

The victim becomes the perpetrator. Sounds like something Ole Adolf would have said about the rabbi and his kind, Its amazing that someone from a group of people that have suffered abuse and ridicule for being "different" would come to have the same opinion about another group. I guess everybody needs somebody to look down on, especially those who have spent thousands of years being looked down upon.
