I wish I was cool enough to be a South Paw. Sadly, my left arm is more of a useless limb than something I’d use to write with. I once was playing off-the-wall years ago, probably in high school or middle school, when all the guys decided using our right hands was too easy. So, when I caught the ball and had to throw it at the wall… it looked like a toddler trying to throw it, throwing so hard but going almost no where, barely reaching the wall, never mind bouncing off. My cheeks may have never been so red, nor I ever laughed at so hard. LOL.

You aren’t alone, thegayrecluse. I have long thought so, too. The first time I thought it, I was 18 and I started to sob.

However, I will say that when I was a kid, I used my left-hand and was BEATEN into right-hand submission. These days, with some things, I am ambidextrous.

Even though it’s kind of amusing, this science stuff always makes me nervous, because I can just imagine the day when right-wing nutjobs start genetic “screening” against “gay” characteristics. (Or maybe I’m just paranoid.) The other bogus thing about these studies is that they never talk about how they established their pools of participants. Given the reality that like 95 percent of men having sex with men are closet cases and wouldn’t in a million years participate in a study, how can you possibly extrapolate any kind of data to a general population?

My lover and I are left-handed as well. The amazing thing with right-handed people is that they do not understand when dining out with left-handed people that we automatically go to “our” positions when lead to a table. Kind of like Hets the things that go right over thier heads.
