Tammy Faye Messner made an appearance on Larry King last night. Hopefully you all had a chance to hear what she had to say – if not, you’re in luck, because reader Alan sent along this collection of clips from the interview, including Tammy Faye discussing how the gays lent her a helping hand after Jim Bakker fucked her over.
Son Jay also points out that Tammy Faye helped provide the bridge between the Evangelical movement and gay churches, particularly Troy Perry’s Metropolitan Community Church. Even if you’re not Christian or religious in any way, shape or form, you can’t deny Tammy Faye’s impact on our world. And, despite the terminal cancer, she’s still as cheery as ever. And her eyelashes still look swell!

I am shaken and depressed after seeing just a shippet of this. She is a great lady but I wish I hadn’t seen it, because now that’s what I’ll remember.

That video breaks my heart. Tammy Faye is a wonderful, true Christian woman. Count me as one of the Gays who is praying for her. We will always love and remember you Tammy Faye.
After the smoke from her and husband Jim Bakker’s scandal cleared, she was interviewed. She was asked about Bakker’s theft of church funds, lying, fraud and alleged homosexuality. Tammy Faye vehemently denied only one thing. Take a wild guess which one. G’wan, take a guess.
Met Tammy years ago and she was such fun. A bubbly little bundle of joy. I pray they give her good pain medication and she slips softly to sleep. She will be deeply missed.

Tammy Faye Baker is dead. May she find peace and forgiveness in death that she never found in life. Her ashes were interred Saturday at a private ceremony attended by family.
May this great and wonderful Lady, finally have the peace in Heaven that others here on earth would not be kind enough to grant her.
Rest In Peace Tammy Faye. You earned it and deserve it far more than other recent departed “people or God” did.
