General Mills–the food giant and Fortune 500 corporation–has officially announced its opposition to Minnesota’s constitutional amendment seeking to ban same-sex marriage. The statement appeared on the anti-amendment site Minnesotans United for All Families:
Fortune 500 Company General Mills has just announced that the Golden Valley, MN corporation opposes the constitutional amendment seeking to limit the freedom to marry for committed same-sex couples in Minnesota.
We always had a hunch Betty Crocker, the Pillsbury Doughboy and Lucky the Leprechaun stood by us!
Maybe their trying to get a NOM boycott for themselves like Starbucks did.

I don’t always lick frosting off of tan, washboard abs. But when I do….it’s BETTY CROCKER!

I wont say who, but being gay and from MN, I know someone with high ranking at General Mills is gay. I don’t think that had to do with the decision but it’s a great stand for the company.

Gutsy move by a company with a product line that could definitely feel a boycott from the opposition.

Cereal killers of unconstitutional amendments. Thanks General Mills for standing against hate.
