Georgios Panayiotou, Britain’s professional tabloid newspaper headline better known as George Michael, was sentenced to eight weeks in prison for driving his Range Rover into a photo shop store front during July’s Pride festivities in London. It’s likely he’ll serve around four weeks. The Telegraph has already come to his defense, insisting a driving ban, not jail time, is a better punishment.
Never thought I would be agreeing with the right-wing Telegraph, but yes, prison isn’t going to help. He only got a 6 month driving ban, not long enough for him to sort himself out. People get longer bans for minor offences. George Michael put the safety of people at risk – it was sheer luck that he didn’t kill or injure others

He’s rich enough to take taxis everywhere or have a personal driver, so this is all rather baffling.

Why doesn’t he live in Hollywood? The worst he’d have gotten would have been twenty minutes jail, hardly cutting into any known happy hour. Far be it from me to understand the “minds” of “celebrities”.
