“Going Down in LA-LA Land” at OUTFest: Queerty’s itty bitty review, & Matthew Ludwinski’s Adam$Adam (NSFW)

Most recently screened at OUTFest 2011, the best thing going for “Going Down in LA-LA Land” is model-turn-actor Matthew Ludwinski as Adam a … model-turn-(porn) actor. Wide-eyed and lovely, Ludwinski’s Adam quickly spiral from talent agency receptionist (over seen by tart tongued, Jesse Archer, in a brief, yet hilarious turn) to porn actor/escort and tabloid fodder is an all too familiar tale.

The cast is rounded out with a speed smoking boyfriend (played by director, Casper Andreas, who’s extreme thinness makes him look like a male Karen Carpenter on the Marlboro 100 Tina diet, Alison Lane (as the requisite hilarious-yet-deluded BFF, the 2011 version featuring a face rendered immobile by apparent overuse of Botox), Judy Tenuta (as herself ie., oh, yeah whatever happened to that 80′s star?) and Bruce Vilanch (as … Bruce Vilanch.) However, the most unexpected turn is provided by a Si Newhouse (of the Advance Magazine Empire that publishes everything from Vanity Fair to Vogue) look-a-like as a bitchy, pursed lipped trick. Basically, a commercial for coming to L.A. and becoming a crack addict, whore, and/or crack whore. That’s Entertainment!

I hate to sound bitchy, but the films of Casper Andreas are usually better when he’s not in them. They seem more pretentious and fake when he tries to act and direct. He should stay behind the camera and focus on directing.

Here’s a very professional but unauthorized (by Gaga) video of Paparazzi with a bisexual Matthew Ludwinski. It’s excellent:

A pretty twink, with a big dick. Why should I care about this one, when there are many others just like him? What has he done to deserve praise, other than be born pretty, and pose nude?

@Mr. Enemabag Jones: Um… because he’s an individual person… not unlike every other individual human being. He happens to be young, handsome, with a big dick. Does that make him specifically not worthy of attention?

When Queerty posts pictures of Bruce Vilanch I’ll ask you the same question.

@Mr. Enemabag Jones: The piece is about OutFest. Matthew happens to be the lead in one of the films being screened at the Festival. Matthew deserves attention because he’s transitioning from a career as an out working model signed with prestigious NYC agencies to a career as an out actor (still a rather difficult choice for many lgbt actors to make.) He’s well educated, articulate, intelligent and obviously easy on the eyes. He’s done regional theater, studied actingin NYC and landed a leading role in a film wherein he gave a competent/good performance. Why shouldn’t Queerty give him some PR? If we don’t help our own, who is going to? He has the balls to pursue his chosen career as an out man. There are a lot of actors, singers, athletes, etc., who are afraid to do so. That’s why you should care. I would suggest that you redirect your future comments to Queerty to request that they vigorously promote talented LGBT talent in all areas. Best, JeffR
