Good, Bad.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo had to play bad cop with some of his colleagues this week. The copper, who took over his post last July, suspended one veteran and fired another after the former took some jabs at lesbian cadets. The latter failed to report the incident. The city’s Police Association, meanwhile, accuses Acevedo of “financial blackmail” by giving the officer’s an ultimatum: lengthy suspension or their badge. [Statesman]

I thought the ‘lengthy’ suspension was only 30 days?

Happy to see that anything was done about it. I had my reservations around the time that Acevedo was hired, but I feel just a sconce better now.
