Google Mysteriously Shuts Down Hundreds of Gay Blogs. Because They Were Gay Porn Blogs?

Amazon.com has already gone through the ringer for upsetting The Gays. Now is it Google’s turn? Sure, the search giant loves itself some pride, but according to some LGBT publishers using Google’s Blogger service, they’ve been getting shut down without explanation.

Okay, maybe there is this explanation: many of them were veritable porn sites. Back in August, some Blogger accounts were inexplicably locked down and made inaccessible to their authors and web visitors. One of the most well known to get locked up was CasperFan, a blog originally launched to chronicle all things Casper Van Deen, but now a site dedicated to all big and small screen hotties who disrobe.

From there, this blog (ironically, powered by Blogger) launched when others started seeing their blogs get shut down, to collect all the blogs Blogger gated. When we checked over the weekend, more than 200 blogs were listed to have been banished; today, that number is at just 46, with many blogs being reopened by Google. These have names like Sperm My Cumhole, Uncut Guys, Blond Twinks. While some of these sites are just collections of images of cute guys, others are, obviously, full-blown amateur porn sites.

For its part, Google has been investigating, and invited bloggers to submit their sites here for further investigation. One forum poster indicates it wasn’t Google/Blogger clamping down on gay blogs, but rather, “They’ve had a problem recently with a third part widget called ‘Bloglinker’ that has flagged lots of blogs as containing malware, so it could be that.”

In the meantime, the much beloved CasperFan has moved to another host (link NSFW), proving the gays aren’t just a resilient bunch, but they’ll do anything for their skin pics.

(Thanks, Hanno!)
