Google Shows Solidarity For LGBTS At Sochi Winter Olympics

2014-winter-olympics-5710368030588928-hpGoogle goes for the gold with today’s homepage doodle, a rainbow-hued graphic that celebrates six different sports to mark the start of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Beneath the pro-LGBT image is an excerpt from the International Olympics Committee charter that reads “The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.”

If you click the image, a search page for the Olympics charter automatically opens and the search engine’s logo becomes a rainbow flag.

Well-played, Google.
