Gotta Have It.

Faith In America executive director Brent Childers is absolutely tickled pink about Michelle Obama’s gay DNC speech, in which she linked the civil rights movement to today’s gay rights struggle, “When Michelle Obama makes that connection, it will eventually lead Americans to recognize religion-based prejudice and discrimination as the commonality of not only injustices against African-Americans and the gay and lesbian community but also women, interracial couples as well as religious minorities.” Utopia, here we come! For that, I give the future Mrs. First Lady a standing ovation! I don’t think a candidate for president (who has gotten this far) or his/her spouse has ever said anything even close to what she said in that speech. If I’m wrong, someone please correct me.

The Republican nightmare could come to an end in November if everyone who is happy about that VOTES!!

it’s just words. she was saying what she had to to raise money from rich white gay dudes who like the lip service. you’re kidding yourself if you think obama supports equality for all people. for starters, he’s taken stances against us marrying and against us serving in the military. with that in mind, michelle obama’s pandering is downright insulting. as a self-respecting queer person theres no way i’d ever vote for someone who wants me to be at best a second class citizen.
