New York Governor Eliot Spitzer makes our head spin…
The New York Post reports that Spitzer promised to pass gay marriage in 2009. Spitzer’s people, however, insist he’s been misinterpreted.
Democrat Spitzer and friends gathered last Wednesday at Oz creator Tom Fantana’s Manhattan abode and, according to one witness, Spitzer used the opportunity to celebrate same-sex nuptials.
“One of the first things we’re going to do when [Senate Minority Leader] Malcolm Smith is [majority] leader is gay marriage,” the witness recounted Spitzer as telling some 60 people who paid up to $10,000 each to attend the event in Greenwich Village Wednesday night.
“Everybody applauded when he said that,” said the witness, who was among senators.
Two other guests tell The Post that, yes, Spitzer suggested the Democrats could move forward the Empire State toward full equality.
Spitzer’s flack strikes down the story, saying that Spitzer celebrated the NY Assembly’s gay marriage passage, but made no political promises, which would invariably bite him in the ass.
How about we take this to the next level?

Can you please proof read before you post.
“which would invariably bite him the ass.”

maverick6 – if you want to get snarky, proofread is one word not two.

also, “Can you please, etc.” needs a “?” not a “.”
pretentious ass.

Apparently we don’t care about what Spitzer may or may not have said. Fair enough, but really maverick69’s point is a good one: A little proofreading is not a bad thing. Glaring typos and errors undermine credibility, even on the web (oh listen to me getting all English teachery again!). Pointing that out shouldn’t necessarily brand someone as snarky, pretentious, or an ass. That said, if you’re going to do it, your comments should be proofed so ya don’t look goofy.

I DO care what Spitzer says. But I care even more about the fact that SO MANY gay blogs refer to the Post as a credible source. Wake up! It’s an anti-gay rag.

Isn’t this the guy who wanted to give Illegal Immigrants driver’s licenses?

Hey if I have to give a few undocumented people a drivers license so I can get a marriage license, then I say drive on!
