Because this is what you do with people who, when given their own free will, kidnap and attack escorts: Boy George will be locked up again. But this time, television cameras will be rolling the whole time.
George has agreed to appear on Britain's Celebrity Big Brother, supposedly scoring a £200,000 fee along the way.
And when he mouths off at other contestants and unleashes his Culture Club wrath while television audiences look on? He probably won't feel remorse for that, either.

George went through a lot with drugs and other issues, and he has come through his prison service clean and sober and focused on different projects than he was back in the time of his incident in NYC and this incident with the escort. This will give him the audience to prove whether his change is permanent or temporary, the ordeal of being filmed 24/7 would stress anyone out, even a celebrity. I wish George the best of luck on Big Brother. I hope his experience on that show proves similar to what Joan Rivers got from the Celebrity Apprentice – a career renaissance!
I have never liked the guy as a person, but I do think he's talented as a singer and a songwriter. I think it's sad that he is reduced to being on a reality show like this.
He has said in many interviews that he would never do a show like this so this shows and has criticized people who do it as desperate. He is a total hypocrite who will do anything for money and to get his career back.
He has constantly said in interviews that he doesn't care about his career or making money. so this shows what a liar he has always been.
And I can't see a show like this will allow him a career renaissance based on music. This show is a freak show that encourages bad behavior and fighting. Well, on second thought I guess it's perfect for him.
He should re-mix his early songs (even dueted with hot icons like Adam, Kylie, Mika) for today's market and release a Dance album as he could still do it. Look at all the Re-mixes and Mash-ups of Michael Jackson.
Reality shows are sometimes launching pads for come-backs but they are usually turgid. Most folk put on weight after 40 and when off drugs. Keeping busy will get him back to his old pioneering self – The Boy George we miss.
I agree dontblamemeivotedforhillary.
I think LaToya Jackson and coolio were on that same show and went nowhere.
But the problem is records don't sell much anymore because of downloading so he won't make money from a dance cd. He probably needs the money so that is why he's doing it.
I thnk the Boy George we miss is gone forever.
Probably is a shrewd move on Boy G's part. This will expose (pardon the pun) him to a couple of generations who didn't see his talent the first time around. He put out some excellent material in his heyday. Everyone deserves a second (ok maybe fourth or fifth) chance……………
Reality show?? It's hard to figure who to feel "sorry" for here. The people on the show or the people whose lives are so empty this is what they believe is entertainment.
I mean really. Who in thier right mind would want to watch a babbling, drugged out, potty mouth, washed out middle-aged assed queen who is clearly ignored by her constituents in the music world for a full hour?
The audience alone is the one to blame for allowing a platform for queens whose demise they have no one else but themselves to blame for. I thought it was bad enough when the entire world (those 35 and under) went into panic mode after Twitter went out for all of what, 30 minutes, earlier this year. Is it me or what?
This is disgusting and thank god America will be spared this queen and her ignorant rants. Have no doubt "she" will know just when to "stop" the night before so it will "appear" her act has been "cleaned" up.
I agree Helga 100%. I'm tired of the gay community holding up people like Boy George as our representative.
Terrwill, a reality show doesn't show anyone's talent. He's not going to be able to sing on Big Brother. He's just going to be bitching and fighting with the other housemates.
If he wants a second chance, he should release music and do a tour like all the other struggling musicians out there, not do a tacky reality show.
