Does anyone know when the sentencing hearing is scheduled for? It is Florida right? Don’t they put people to death down there? Oh, second degree, doubt it.

@Tallskin – No problem and good morning. If you are ever looking for an old article you can’t find. There is also a search bar on the front page. I use it once and awhile and it is quite useful.

Bearden has already received sentencing. He was given LIFE, plus 40 years for the secondary charges.

I’ve followed this since March of 2007. Ryan was a great friend and former room mate of mine. He was a very special person.

@Summer – I’m sorry for your loss. I’m glad justice was served and hope you are finally able to have some closure and remember all the good things about Ryan.

Thanks Sebbe…

I must admit, the last week has been…well, it’s been something. In the last two days, I’ve realized that I’ve merely been enraged for the last two years. Now, that Bearden has been convicted and sentenced…well, it’s a sense of closure…of finality. I think I’ve cried more in the last two days, than I did two years ago. It’s as if it’s now “true”.

Ryan was a special guy, that deserves to be remembered in a special way. He was not a monster, nor a crook. He was not a low life, nor an addict. He was kind, gentle, generous, and happy. He had a smile that could light up a room. Our world is a cruel and vicious one, in which human life has no value. Once humans are ‘removed’…what’s left?

I thought I had some smudge on my monitor until I realized it was that tattoo on his face.

Nevermind.

that’s a very strange tattoo on his face. Drugs, gang-related?

at least some sort of Justice is done.

Justice? And in Florida? For a gay person?

Truthfully, I thought the little bitch would walk.

He is probably latently gay himself hence the violence self-hate.

You know…. I as I followed th case off and on for the past couple of weeks I actually kinda felt a little bad for him… but when I watched this sentencing his mouth is reckless! What a fukn punk… i dont doubt that he did this… he cant shut the fuck up! Telling the judge that he “gon do what he gon do anyway” and he “wasted tears” and smiling while he was getting fingerprinted- right after recieving a LIFE SENTENCE plus 40 years…. maybe thats why they call him smiley!? Hope he enjoys those years prison… he just showed us the real deal.
