I don’t understand why we need the hate crimes amendment. Are we not already protected by the current laws? Why attatch this to the war funding. That is the part I don’t think is right. This bill passed Congres as a stand alone bill. I think it just makes us look like we are hijacking the War Fund. It puts us in a bad light of not getting our troops home safely as soon as possible but giving them the best while they are still there. Why do this now, when Bush said he would veto it anyway.
