Happy Endings: So It Goes…

people-dumbledore-sm.JPG
JK Rowling on Dumbledore outing: It has certainly never been news to me that a brave and brilliant man could love other men. He is my character. He is what he is and I have the right to say what I say about him.” That’s right, girl!

• Even more gay Dumbledore reaction.

• The gay Christian pop duo still getting press!?

Singapore gives oral and anal sex the green light, but not for gays.

Ellen thinks it’s okay to cry. In that case….

• Is your five-year old nephew gay?

Roseanne Barr thinks Britney Spears is a bad mom. Well, duh!

For all its skyscraped fame and association with money and power Singapore is still the kind of society in which it’s necessary to put signs in elevators that say, “Please do not urinate here,” and you can be in a formal business meeting in which a local will deep pick his/her nose right in front of you [my coworker has seen both]. Who’s surprised they’re still in the 19th century in terms of sexual freedoms?

Could it be that JK Rowling thought about headmasters whom she had known. It is interesting that the late and current Dumbles were both actors associated with the gay community whether they were/are open about it.

Do you have a larger version of the Dumbledore image?

Reverend, I honestly think JK Rowling just thought about all the fanfic. I know people are delighted and are trying to make this into some big pop culture milestone, but I really don’t think it’s that deep.
