To me, Barrack Obama and John Edwards won the gay forum. They were head and shoulders above the other candidates in my opinion.

But I would vote for Dennis Kucinich & Mike Gravel as the folks I’d most like to spend Thanksgiving dinner with.

Afrolito, when this year began, I would have told you that I’d drink a bucket of piss if Mitt Romney would win the Republican nomination. Boy, that was a close one. Whew!

Having said that… I will drink such a beverage the day I vote for Hillary Clinton. For another thing, I personally disapprove of people who don’t love each other, cheat on each other, and use their union strictly for politcal purposes getting married. But did I ever try to stop the Clintons from marrying?

Kuinich is fun. he’s hope. there ARE people out there that understand our plight. he represents what COULD be.

no, he doesn’t have a chance NOW… but someday he will (or someone like him can). it’s good, it’s comforting in a way. but yes, it’s unrealistic at this time. still it’s something to aim for.

I still don’t get the whole Kucinich thing. Yeah, he says what we want to hear, but, his electability aside, how likely would it be that he could essentially change American culture and politics overnight even if he were elected. A total revolutionary change in national attitudes would be required, and a degree of political finesse that DK has never shown. On that basis, polite applause for pandering to the audience, but let’s try to get a non-Republican elected this time, OK?

Whether one likes it or not Kucinich was the winner. And, Boy, does that piss me off! You see, I cannot ignore someone with whom I agree on every issue because another candidate has more sex appeal, or is more media savvy.

Hillary most certainly did NOT win. she came across as cold, unsympathetic (“you haven’t had a long struggle yet”), and wants to leave gay marriages up to the states… (as of right now, 16 states have gone out of their way to ban gay marriage). She was condescending (especially to Melissa E.), and offered no real solutions.

She was, however, a true politician in every since of the word.

But she certainly did not win with me…

(that richardson tho… go my eye on him… LOL)
