Not even what’s left of the once mighty catholic church in NYC can help the “god” b/s take root in this campaign. You have lost Mr. Ford and have only yourself and your antics to blame.

When you go the route of the carpetbagger, be sure you’ve checked what you have packed in your bags before you load them and travel.

When Harold Ford was in Tennessee (78% Religious) he was against same-sex marriage.

Now, with Harold Ford in New York (48% Religious) he supports same-sex marriage.

HE didn’t change his mind, the polls did. The people did.

We should learn from that. It’s about the polls, not the Pols.

@AndrewW

You couldn’t be more correct. It is the exact same thing Clinton said about his sub-par gay rights record. It doesn’t matter what he would like to do, if the people don’t provide the cover then he is not going to do it. The only way to advance gay rights around the country, not just on paper but actually geting people to respect us is by changing minds.

Too late for Harold Ford Junior to tack himself onto the ticket of Cuomo for Governor. The A.G should pick an open lesbian like Christine Quinn who will never get Madam Mayor in this increasingly Homophobic City (as much as I like her!) The Tennessee Prince should fire his handlers and become a lobbyist and sink into oblivion or deliver Pizza with Rick Lazio!
