Arjan over at Arjan Writes just sent the allegedly final track for Madonna’s collaboration with Pharrell, “Candy Shop” and we’re not impressed.

Why do blogs keep reporting these leaks as singles? They aren’t. This and the other turd (the beat goes on) are DEMOS form her sessions with Pharrell, and haven’t even been confirmed for the album. After the tepid reaction they’ve received I doubt they ever will. Her album is not even scheduled for a release this year.
As far as Madonna going the way of Britney, are you kidding?? Comparing those two is like comparing a diamind to a piece of cheap carnival glass.
I agree with afrolito. Moreover, I did not find this leak so objectionable. I kind of liked it. There are a lot of singles that Madonna has released over the years that are not very good while maintaining an overall catalog that is just fantastic. So even if this less than great leak becomes a single, I am sure the album will be great.
Brittney? You have got to be kidding. Britney, a never was, broken, child abusing, **-aholic. Madonna who has a 25 year career, can still charge $300 for a ticket to a concert, with 15 albums, and by all accounts a great parent. The thought of the two being compared makes me want to throw up a lot in my mouth.
im rooting for brit, but agree that it’s ridiculous to compare madonna to her. let’s ease up on madonna. she’s produced decades of amazing music. as far as im concerned, she’s allowed more than a few misses, if she wants them.
