This is so amazing. When I feel so embarrassed and disgusted at the Hollywood celebrities and Washington politicians who are gay and keep quiet. Yes, poison is spreading in our community, but from gays too. If every gay man and woman in Hollywood came out, there would be no more stigma because most of Hollywood is gay. And so what are people going to do? Never again go see a movie or tune in to a TV show? Shame on those who are allegedly gay and play coy: Jodie Foster, Anderson Cooper, Ricky Martin, Tom Cruise, Zachary Quinto, Wentworth MIller etc. How strong and courageous are these other people that died for living out and proud, while these other celebrities stay in their comfortable closets making millions.
The arguments of “privacy” and not forcing anyone out are ludicrous when applied to public personalities that are millionaires, enjoy power and fame, and could certainly do so much. It’s not just President Obama and Congress, it’s not just straights becoming our allies, it’s gays helping out gays. Until that happens, nothing will change.

Bravo Chris! I think gay people should do the same with gay celebrities. We should follow their careers and make sure they are successful because when they are successful it makes it easier for the next generation.

Its a good idea. However, the definition of hero is a person distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength. These were victims of hate crimes, not hero’s of hate crimes.

This is great and touching. Of course, there are no posts here because everyone flocks to that non-important, stupid Adam threads, or that Miss America bimbo.

I’ll admit, Chris Salvatore is too good looking for this plea/announcement. I really did have a hard time concentrating because he’s that good looking. I know, I’m sad.
