While we like when celebrities come out for gay rights, we have to raise a skeptical eyebrow at Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s pledge of support for same-sex marriage.
Some of you may recall the couple – who are famous for no particular reason other than that people like to trash talk them – endorsed John McCain’s presidential campaign.
That said, it should come as no surprise that Ms. Montag echoes Republican running mate Sarah Palin’s “choice” perspective. Said Montag to Marc Malkin: “I think it’s your own choice. I think, you know, whoever you decide to marry–boys, girls, whatever you like–it’s up to you.”
Meanwhile, Pratt chalks his inclusive attitude to his girlfriend’s “glam squad:” “Heidi’s hair and makeup people are my favorite people in the world and they happen to be gay. So if they wanna go marry each other, good for them.” Well, at least it’s better than nothing, right?

Yes they are dumber than 2 boxes of rocks but you would be surprised at how much influence they have I guess that speaks volumes about American culture. So maybe some of those Orange County kids, though they promised their parents to pull the McCain lever will still vote no for prop. 8. I think we need accept support from anybody that us willing to give it. Its just to close to be picky.

Heh, like those guys would understand how important it is to have the right to marry. Marriage to them is just plot arc.
But then again I know so many girls who blindly listen to those two (Thank God they can’t vote) and are total right wingers, maybe this will stop them from letting their boyfriends fuck up our cars and bikes. I mean we maybe a catholic all girl school who isn’t suppose to have a GSA, but the school lets in gay boys for a reason…to get away from said jackass boyfriends at the all boy school.

I can’t believe I’m about to do this, but I think when Heidi used the word “choice” she wasn’t using it in the same way that Palin was. She was saying, you should have the choice to marry whomever you want, not that you chose to be gay or straight or bi or what have you. I really hate that you just made me defend them. Ugh, I feel dirty now.
So that I can cleanse myself, in that interview, they were also dumb enough to agree that Heidi would make as good of a VP candidate as Palin. Which, scarily may be true, but they didn’t realize how big of a joke that was when they made the statement.

Yeah, I have only the vaguest clue who these two are as well. But what saddens me most is that she’s pretty young, right? So, why does she already look like she’s had more surgery than Cher? It kinda makes her look older, like she’s about 35. Just me wondering….

I have known Spencer since he went to high school with my neices and trust me he’s several light bulbs short of a Broadway marquee. They are both neither that rich, that good looking, that intelligent, nor that interesting that they deserve such attention. Their opinion counts for nothing with me. It is like asking a three year old who is a better artist Rembrandt or Van Gogh?
They know nothing about important things. Besides Heide and Spencer think Rembrandt is a toothpaste anyway.
