If North Carolina lawmakers anyone needs a reminder that LGBT couples deserve every right and respect granted their hetero counterparts, you can do no better than catching up with Lennie and Pearl. The two ladies of a certain age were captured in this video from 2014 and at the time they were looking forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary as a couple, after having been married the year before.
“I guess at 90, we don’t have to worry about anyone saying anything to us or about us…we were married always in our hearts,” they reveal during the interview.
Oh yeah, and they just happen to hail from North Carolina, home to the ridiculously discriminatory HB2 bill.
Watch a video celebrating the couple’s history below.
How about we take this to the next level?

That’s longer than most ‘normal marriages’ and it wasn’t even legal. Some should take notes. Embarrassing.

I think most homophobians are bothered by gay men not lesbians. Women have always been thought of as second class citizens and inferior so when a man is effeminate it scares ignorant people . Women can wear tuxedos and be cool. But men better wear a tuxedo or else…I’m not sayin women are inferior just reflecting history and what it shows. Too, straight guys are actually turned on by lesbians.

Well NC , you can vote that idiot out next time.
