Confirming rumors of its downfall, Boston-based New England Blade, which is owned by New York-based HX Media, announced yesterday that they're suspending print publication until further notice. [NEB]

I guess the bailout bill doesn't include the Blade. Guess the printers, landlord and employees had no influence. The cheers you hear in the background must be Berggren who seems to have gotten it right back months ago. The two or three who actually read the Blade must be devastated.

Print is dying a slow death anyway. My copy of Newsweek was thinner than last week's HX so what does that tell you?

It tells me that, at least Newsweek is still publishing.
We (at least me) are not saluting people losing their jobs. We are saluting the downfall of a bunch of idiots who took over a successful publication and turned it into a piece of crap.
