Well, this is disturbing beyond belief.
Three white high school football players in southern Idaho have been charged with sexually assaulting a disabled black teammate.
According to court documents, the incident occurred in the male locker room of Dietrich High School last October. 18-year-old John R.K. Howard, 17-year-old Tanner Ward, and a third student, age 16, are accused of luring the victim, who suffers “mental disorders including learning disabilities,” over to them then restraining him as they “physically forced a coat hanger into the plaintiff’s rectum.”
Howard then proceeded to kick the coat hanger over and over and over again while it was inside the boy. The injuries were so severe they required medical treatment.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“It was terrible–a pain I’ve never felt,” the victim said during a preliminary hearing last month. “I screamed. I was pretty upset. I felt really bad. A little bit betrayed and confused at the same time.”
Just in case all that isn’t disturbing enough, court documents also allege that before the attack the victim was “taunted and called racist names by other members of the team, which names included ‘Kool-Aid.’ ‘chicken eater,’ ‘watermelon,’ and ‘n*****r’,” as well as subjected to wedgies, simulated anal sex and “aggressive humping.”
The victim’s family is seeking $10 million from the school and the 11 employees, including administrators and coaches, who they say “ignored or were deliberately indifferent to the behavior of Mr. Howard, which included aggression, taunting and bullying of the plaintiff and other students in the district.”
“With deliberate indifference, the defendants did nothing to curb the vicious acts of Mr. Howard who brought with him from Texas a culture of racial hatred towards the plaintiff,” the lawsuit reads.
Howard is scheduled to appear in court on June 10. Hearing dates for the other alleged attacks have yet to be announced.

Does this story belong on a “Free of an Agenda. Except that gay one” website ?
DCguy
@joeyty: So you mean crazy rac-ists bigots performing a same sex gang rape with foreign objects on somebody who stands out as different doesn’t seem like it might somehow fit to you?
Bauhaus
@DCguy:
This is right up his alley, so to speak.
joeyty
@DCguy: If YOU equate Rape with Gay, then…. be my guest.

His defense needs to be less birdcage esk.

A close hanger? What a mess for a couple of homophobic nut cakes, but I have seen these type of jocks attempt to molest guys before back in the day.
IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou
@DCguy: Gays and lesbians aren’t known for being rapists. Trans do it by deception. Do you mean it belongs here because of them?
missuniverse
These boys are raised as Mormons,, that says somehing

Hope the family gets everything they are asking for and the r@cists rapists get their due in prison.
DCguy
@joeyty:
Nice try, but the fact that you were so desperate to change the topic from the fact that right wing bigots were doing this is telling in itself.
People of the same sex, who are supposedly straight, (Like so many pastors and other right wing bigots) and are members of a church that has bankrolled anti-gay bills to the tune of over 100 million dollars over the last decade singled out somebody who was different and sexually assaulted him.
Actually it’s funny that you would ask if I’m equating rape with gay, when most of the people on this blog would sympathize or if they were bullied even identify with the Black teen who was raped.
The fact that not only don’t you, but you seem angry that this story is here is the part that is so interesting.
Transiteer
Closet Cases? Or just white boys who like perversion?
joeyty
@DCguy: “most of the people on this blog would sympathize or if they were bullied even identify with the Black teen who was raped” Huh ?? Why is that ? Is that how gay men see themselves ?
joeyty
@DCguy: And if I’m supposed to equate rape with being gay and relate to (alleged) rape victims, why isn’t a different rape charge covered on Queerty every day ?
Paco
@joeyty: It’s homophobic bullying, even if all of them are straight. Their goal was to degrade and humiliate the victim by showing everyone that gawked how less of a male the victim is.
Homophobic bullying against any male is news worthy for a gay website, IMHO.
Hussain-TheCanadian
What a disgusting, uncivilized act of barbarism – I don’t understand how can anyone pray on a disabled human being like this, hurt them and dominate them like this. Where is the compassion, the humanity, the empathy?
This act is not gay in anyway shape or form, it’s an act of rape to rob the victim of their dignity and humanity, no different than wartime rapes.
joeyty
@Paco: You mean (whether it’s true in this case or not) that an unwelcome sex act performed upon another male is homophobic bullying, even if the “victim” is hetero, and therefore…..acceptable subject matter here ?
DCguy
@joeyty: stated: “@DCguy: “most of the people on this blog would sympathize or if they were bullied even identify with the Black teen who was raped” Huh ?? Why is that ? Is that how gay men see themselves ?”

Interesting, are you saying that gay kids AREN’T singled out for bullying, harassment, etc… and that the Mormon church DOESN’T have a history of spending over $100,000,000 to push anti-gay laws and bigotry.
What an interesting perspective you seem to have on this.
joeyty
@DCguy: I’ll give you some other examples of male-on-male rape right now that haven’t been covered on Queerty if you wish, and I doubt it will be Mormons you can blame it on…
JamJewel
Dietrich Mayor Don Heiken shared a similar view.
“This was an isolated incident in our school. I don’t like what happened either. These three white kids were rejects from other schools that were sent here because they got in trouble where they were living before. Other than that Dietrich is a nice town. I should know, I grew up here and have lived here all of my life (64 years),” he wrote in an email. “Please don’t judge our little town by what you have heard.”

joeyty
@DCguy: “Interesting, are you saying that gay kids AREN’T singled out for bullying, harassment, etc” Sometimes, yeah. Are you saying gays haven’t also made false accusations ? Or gays haven’t been falsely-accused of molestation of other males?
JamJewel
@missuniverse: There is no mention of the perpetrators being Mormon. Neither her nor in any other story on the interwebs. Though the victim was adopted by and raised in a Mormon family.
Paco
@joeyty: yes it is acceptable to be reported here, because it keeps us informed that disgusting acts like this are still happening. That there are males that still think the best way to degrade another male is to make him feel gay or appear less than to the other peers through homophobic acts and taunts. Shoving a wire hanger in another guys rectum to degrade him in front of others is not only rape but a homophobic act as well, because to them, gay is less than, and a man that gets penetrated is gay.
joeyty
@JamJewel: It’s just clickbait anyway. Queerty knows it gets lots of hits if you show two (traditionally) handsome faces of guys accused of a sex crime. Meanwhile two major gay stories, one negative (ISIS stoning to death a 15 year old homosexual boy) and one positive (Spanish athlete Victor Gutierrez coming out) are ignored. ??
joeyty
@Paco: That’s, debatably, an okay reason to include it….okay.
DCguy

Interesting, so now you aren’t only angry that the article was about some rac-ist kids attacking a black teen with a same sex assault, but you also seem angry that I mentioned that they were Mormon and that the Mormon church has spent over $100,000,000 fighting for anti-LGBT laws.
More and More interesting just who you choose to get defensive about.
joeyty
@DCguy: I don’t care whether they’re Mormon or not. I just think you’re a goofball for blaming the Mormon church. In the cases where black male serial rapists attacked white males I didn’t immediately think it was the Baptist churches’ fault
DCguy
@joeyty:
I also love how the defenders of the right wing bigots always try to bring up some anti-gay story from a Muslim country and act like nobody should pay any attention to anything going on here since that is going on.
Some law is being passed to keep Trans people out of bathroom? Wait, you shouldn’t worry about that, Isis is anti-gay.
Some groups are trying to remove protections from schools for LGBT kids being bullied? Don’t worry about that, Pay attention to anti-gay activities in Iran.
Oh, lawmakers are trying to make it illegal for gays to adopt or to have financial contracts with each other? Don’t worry about that, because in (Insert name of Muslim Country) they are (Insert anti-gay activity).
If that is the best Log Cabin can come up with, it’s just sad.
DCguy

____________
Interesting that you felt, (While defending the Mormon Church) that you had to add in race in your description. Maybe that is why you seem to feel no sympathy to this case.
joeyty
@DCguy: No, I think the ISIS story is pretty significant, as did every other gay blog.
joeyty
@DCguy: That’s true.
DCguy
@joeyty:
Of course you think it is significant. It is the main way that defenders of right wing bigots in the U.S. can try to get people to ignore the anti-LGBT things that the bigots over here participate in.
Hey! Don’t worry that every single Republican candidate for President has said that they will appoint Supreme Court Justices who will overturn LGBT rights, because something is going on somewhere else.
Trust me, I get your motivation.
joeyty
@DCguy: That’s good. I get your motivation too. So I just use you here to bring up the topics that shouldn’t be ignored.
DerekR
@joeyty: I’m sure you have heard this plenty in your life but it’s worth repeating: you are annoying as F@CK!
joeyty
@DerekR: So is Larry Kramer, and he got things done.

@joeyty: If an article isn’t interesting to you, don’t read it. It’s that simple. For the rest of us, we can read it. A publication of any kind shouldn’t need your approval before they post something. It’s their business. So narcissistic – get over yourself.

@passingthru: Okay. Let’s not comment at all, on any story, ever, too. And especially not correct any journalistic errors.

There is a black person in Idaho?
