Historians Discover New Way To Make San Francisco Even Gayer: Open A Museum

Well here’s once piece of gay history in San Francisco that won’t have any direct involvement from the Human Rights Campaign: The launch of the GLBT History Museum, a project of the GLBT Historical Society, is set to open Thursday. With 1,600 square feet of gallery space, the museum launches with two historical exhibits. Neither, sadly, will feature David Wojnarowicz’s “A Fire in My Belly.”

I went there in December for a school field trip, it’s pretty cool but it is rather small.
