“Barack Obama got good reviews from some conservative commentators after his Tuesday speech outlining his plan for building upon the faith-based initiative established by President Bush.
But John McCain is getting better news from the right — signs of a real push by conservative Christian leaders to coalesce on his behalf.” [LA Times]

CHURCHILL-Y
Seems they’re head to head. It’s going to be nice to see who crosses the religious bigot finish line vote first.

Whoever flip flops and panders the most wins.
The rest of us lose of course.
Steve
The evangelical Christian vote is not a solid voting block this year. Many, perhaps most, Christians have realized that they were “USED” by the Republicans. They’re angry at the Republicans, and for good reason. They still don’t like abortion or gays, but are realizing that those two issues should not define their churches. Obama is talking about helping the poor, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, etc. etc. Those are real Christian issues. The Bible doesn’t actually say anything about either abortion or gays, if you actually read it. Those two words, and their synonyms, are simply not in the book. It does talk about those other social issues, at length, in many different places.

Exactly Steve,
But because the church has emaciated so many Gays with their spew of hatred. It’s hard for some to see the good of what “The Bible” says and not Man!
