Who’s afraid of voter fraud this November? If you are, we can’t blame you – those electronic voting machines haven’t been the most reliable.
In case you forgot about past electoral woes, here’s a frightening clip of Homer Simpson attempting to vote for Barack Obama, which turns into five votes for John McCain and, ultimately, the beloved cartoon character’s downfall.
It’s an American tragedy.

“Frightening” is the right word. We act as if our country is above things like the stolen elections in Zimbabwe and elsewhere, but I think intelligent people should be very worried.
I have heard that some 30% of black voters believe that the election will be stolen from Obama. Is that collective paranoia or just cynicism borne from experience?
If Ohio goes McCain you know it was stolen.

No, it’s not cynicism. Many od the majority black areas were given broken machines so they just threw out the votes.

I personally took a friend down to register last election. I watched her fill out her paperwork and hand it to the clerk. Come election day, she went to her polling location only to be told that they had NO record of her registration. This happened to 2500 people in her county! Coincidence? I really don’t think so. We’ve forgotten how easy it is to steal an election.

The Diebold voting machines. now masquerading as “Premier” voting machines, difer from the Diebold ATM machines in that they contain “negative” numbers, which one designer describes as fraud software. The ATM machines do not have them, apparently to prevent ATM fraud.
