Homophobes Say The Darndest Things!

Louisiana State University student Michael Denton has loads to say about Montgomery County’s decision to include gays in sex ed. In addition to saying Maryland’s lost its collective mind, Denton writes:

America needs to grow in self-confidence on this debate. The homosexual argument is illogical; sexuality is obviously meant for reproduction. Any sexual activity that is opposed to life is intrinsically disordered. Yet we continue to refuse to stand up for ourselves, allowing courts, school boards and speech codes to dictate political correctness to us.

We’ve never understood the “sex is only for procreation” argument. If it’s simply practical, why does it – cough – come with so much pleasure?

[PS: As you've noticed, we're making "Homophobes Say The Darndest Things!" into a regular feature. We've been trying to think of the perfect image to accompany these little blurbs. Any suggestions, readers?]

how about that Abstinence poster that has the phrase “because not everyone wants warts” printed on the bottom?

That… or some sort of S&M bondage/spanking pic (if sex is not suppose to be for pleasure and all).

That… or a pic of Adam and Eve… and Eve is holding a vibrating dildo.

(that’s all i got)

But, if you’re thinking about “Homophobes Say The Darndest Things!” in general….

How about a collage of a bunch of homophobe heads (like Anne Coulter, Jerry Farwell, Jim Naugle, etc.)?

That… or those little stick figure men fucking behind the universal “don’t” symbol.

That… or a burning cross behind a pink triangle (or a burning pink triangle for that matter).

(okay… NOW that’s all i got)

I actually think that Michael Denton’s picture would work well. He’s a textbook example of the “closeted, repressed, and frustrated but trying to pass as extremely religious” look.

I like Dawster’s idea of the stick figures and the diagonal red line through the circle thingy.

Here are a couple others I sadly submit for consideration. The last one is particularly disturbing.

Heather’s last one is the one I was going to suggest. Though there are lots of choices of that ilk on their website.

This picture of Falwell and Robertson seems to sum it up nicely
http://www.actupny.org/YELL/falwell.html

“Rev. Jerry Falwell (with Rev. Pat Robertson)
blames pagans, abortionists, feminists
& gays and lesbians for bringing on the
terrorist attacks in New York and Washington”

You could always use the classic:

A picture of a HORSES ASS.
