How Irresponsible (And Hilarious) Will It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Gay Marriage Episode Be?
On the upcoming sixth season of FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the characters aren’t going to grow any more mature. But they will tackle gay marriage! Which warms my heart, because the gang has always handled gay issues with the ultimate of comedic stylings that are both offensive and hilarious.
There was that time they accidentally turned Paddy’s Pub into a gay bar.

And the time Mac had Dennis and Charlie thinking he was gay.

Or the time the gang accidentally took a gay guy to a strip club and proceeded to discuss the various sex roles of homos.

My favorite show! Awful, self-absorbed and extremely funny characters who always get theirs in the end. Adding Danny Devito to the cast was a master stroke. They take on everyone and every issue with their own insightful and offbeat comic view. The episode with Dennis and Frank installing a glory hole in the bar’s john – enabling them to obtain anonymous sex – is not to be missed. This show is a jewel

This show is one of the few purposely offensive shows I’ve loved every minute of. They know how to do it the right way.

I have loved this show since its start. Glad to see it’s back, I missed my weekly dose of these four.
It never fails to crack me up with just how wacky they all are and their non stop banter. I have to wonder if some of it is improved because the dialogue flows so organically.
Danny Devito could not have been cast more perfectly.
Can’t wait for this episode.

Oh, however they handle it will be purposely offensive. All the characters are, by design, assholes. And idiots. What made the discussion about gay sex so funny is that Dennis clearly didn’t know what he was talking about. (The sad thing is how many straight viewers seemed to think he DID.)

Can’t wait. I love the way this show makes extremely serious/contested issues funny. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how positive they portray a recurring trans character.
