It took nine episodes, but HBO’s male prostitute program Hung finally tackled a gay plotline. But sorry, this one had nothing to do with Ray’s enormous wang entering another man’s orifice.
This storyline is about his kid Damon (played by Charlie Saxton), the goth-y high school student in desperate need of a haircut. Suddenly, he’s seeking the affection — or at least, the attention — of a classmate that’s basically the thinner version of himself, and that makes dad Ray (played by abs-a-licious Thomas Jane) think his son is “a gay.”
We won’t give away how this story nugget wraps up (like whether Damon actually is gay, and is having the gay sex), but if you let the above clip keep running, you’ll find out.

I still find it weird that the parents are both extreamily thin and both are attractive, with sharp features. (Yes, Anne Heache is batshit crazy, but I have to admit she is somewhat nice looking) and yet they cast as their kids two hulking kids with very heavy blunt features. Nothing about the gay storyline, I was just surprised that they didn’t cast actors that even remotely looked like the people that were supposed to be their parents.

that kid is ugly. the girl twin is fine, but the boy is fugly.

@Thom: thank you

Hey Bernardvanburen and Emily, how about you post your picture and we’ll discuss. What a bunch of shallow panty stains, unfortunately like a typical Queerty commenter.

“no both are ugly”
Therefore they don’t exist?

If you watch the show, dad is the hunky ex-football hero and mom is ex-cheerleader most popular mom (they are now divorced). The kids are supposed to be the opposite of what the parents were. I have to agree it’s kind of lame, and the kids are obnoxious and unlikable….which makes their unattractiveness rather pathetic…not funny, and not appealing. The writers need to write empathetically toward the kids….which they may yet do. The kids have thus far been fairly peripheral to the main story. It is a very good, usually funny series, that is trying to find its legs….and doing a good job of it. The only other series we watch is MADMEN. The subject matter of HUNG is a hoot! And hunk and his very amusing, interesting pimp (she is not attractive either), are a great combo. Speaking of attractive….where has Linda Hunt been forever? Just saw her on a preview of something last night. Love me some Linda Hunt.

@JonJon: EXACTLY!!! I’m so tired of the cop out of making kids on TV just automatically obnoxious, angry, and bitchy to their parents.

Unfortunately, the kids on the show are shoved on the backburner so far – this episode didn’t shock me. I already knew he was gay.
Now, if Mr. Hung slept with a gay guy that would have grabbed my attention. Think about the new business Ray would get.

@Thom: It’s sad. I read lots of different gay websites. I didn’t realize I was reading Queerty until I reading the negative appearance comments. I thought: “oh, this has to be Queerty.” I looked up and, yes, I was right.
The proto-snots that keep posting awful comments about people’s looks need to use their Hello Kitty keyboards and type in “Tiger Beat.”

I love the goth kid who plays the boyfriend! He is hot!

can’t view as video is taken down due to copyright with home box office
now they should follow up with dad taking a gay client and finding out about gay sex directly.
I know a few guys who were “escorts” and doubled their income by taking gay guys onto their books.
