Yesterday evening voters in Iowa Senate District 18 received a robocall from “Citizens for Honesty and Sound Marriage” which said “[Democratic candidate] Liz Mathis also endorses homosexual marriage… Homosexual marriage obviously involves homosexual sex. So, before you support Liz Mathis, call her… and ask her which homosexual sex acts she endorses.” Personally, we endorse the reverse cowgirl.
Interestingly, both the National Organization for Marriage and Iowa’s anti-gay group The Family Leader have disavowed involvement, calling the robocalls “a dirty trick… designed to steal the election away from [Mathis’ anti-gay opponent Cindy] Golding.”
NOM and the The Family Leader both support slavery, not sleazy robocalls, got it?
So if Golding wins, we assume that NOM will quietly let the story die. But if Golding loses they’ll continue pressuring the Attorney General to conduct an investigation—either way, they get to play the victim, something they love doing.
How about we take this to the next level?

I love turning this around on them, especially in public. “You want to police what sex acts I participate in? Fine. Do you ever go down on your wife?” Etc. As loudly as possible, in as many positions as I can name before they walk away. If they want to air my sex life, I’ll gladly air theirs.

NOM calls the calls, “so offensive they clearly were designed to turn voters away from Cindy Golding”. I wonder exactly about the calls NOM finds so offensive, since they basically seem to sum up what NOM has been saying since it’s inception with out all the white wash…

Groups and politicians endorse, and make money, violating the human rights of gay children, and gay children have died, so the groups and politicians are child killers. The families, friends, and neighbors of the dead children should be able to vote on the punishment for the child killer groups and politicians, right? The dead gay children at least deserve justice, as do their families and friends, right? Why aren’t Americans being asked their opinion of that? Seems like America is having a very limited discussion on justice and human rights and it should be expanded – and the groups and politicians doing all the harm don’t want the discussion expanded.

All of them except for rape?

The dirty tricks didn’t work. Liz Mathis won.
