As for a response, three things:

1) I don't deny that its an abomination and, by extension, I don't deny my sins. What about yours?
2) Shellfish are an abomination too, you know. [Leviticus 11:10]
3) The Bible also says adulterers [Lev. 20:10], disobedient children [Lev. 20:9], a man who approaches a woman who is on her period [Lev. 20:18] and anyone who works on the Sabbath (Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on your faith) should be put to death [Exodus 31:14]. If you're gonna stand by the Bible, stand by it in its entirety. Do not pick and choose!
