This is Nathan Manske. I think he’s recording this video in his Brooklyn apartment? Originally from Driftwood, Texas, Manske built the website ImFromDriftwood.com (which we’ve featured right here!) to collect coming out stories from around America. It’s actually been pretty terrific, but Manske is making it more terrific-er: He’s going on a 50-state, four-month IFD tour, knocking on your doors to record your tales. It sounds like a great project, and I can’t even find something witty to say about it. My advice: Try selling it to the Sundance Channel (or even LOGO, but they don’t have any money).

This guy is doing a great job and has already affected millions of lives! I hope everyone supports his project with a financial contribution even if it is just a few dollars. IMHO this kind of project can do as much for our community (if not more) than the vastly more expensive efforts of GAY Inc.
