If you date a man, then you are protected by all the gay rights laws on the books and are not suject to any more problems then gay men are….if you date a woman then you have society’s full blessing and do not have any problems running afoul of anti gay laws. So your worst case scenariou is that you are no worse off then gays when dating a man and your best case scenario oppression wise is that you date a woman and have zero problems with legal oppression…something gays do not get. So again, your anger just seems to be the same type of anger that people of privilage have…you’re just upset that you aren’t getting the same attention.

exactly. that is the issue, and the reason for some of the “Bi Now Gay Later” action that goes on. It’s less unacceptable than being 100% gay. And furthermore, there is still the possibility of a opposite sex marriage and genetically related offspring, which is so important to heteros (understandably, as it’s how the species survives, but still…).

This whole gay vs bi male thing is SO tired. The crap bis may have to deal with is nothing compared to the very real prejudice self-identified gays and lesbians endure. We’re seen as MORE unnatural, instead of just really open-minded, so we’re persecuted more. When was the last time a bi person was hazed specifically for being bi, not taken as gay?

However, I respect that there is a B in LGBT for a reason. I’m not trying to change that. But the drama between the Gs ans the Bs is just infighting. In no way is it comparable to actual homophobia, and it is offensive for people to claim otherwise.

Just because a gay guy can have sex with a woman hardly makes him bi. Most gay men could have sex with women. Sexual orientation is about innate sexual desire, not who you can make yourself have sex with.

Watching his forced making out with women on the show is awkward and embarrassing — even for his roommates who have commented on his pathetic attempts to convey he is bi.

Secondly, he’s a reality TV actor. Most of those want to go on to do bigger and better paying gigs. The actors who are out as gay, and having success are rare, and I’m sure this young man feels a lot of pressure to not be labeled as “that fag on that MTV show.” Kinda how, in the first season of Heroes, Claire’s little follower was supposed to be a young gay guy, but the actor’s agent nixed that idea because he felt it would be detrimental to the ability of the actor getting cast in other, non-gay roles.

So, we have a young, aspiring actor, in a world where there’s pressure to stay in the closet, who’s at a point in his life where he’s still searching for his sexuality (which, for him, just happens to be on camera), so there’s gonna be some eye rolls. Though, if you bisexuals want to claim him, I say go for it. He’s doing about as much for the GLBT community as Adam Lambert and Tila Tequila.

Male bisexuality also terrifies women, including bisexual women. That’s because male bisexuality is honest, female bisexuality is often phony. Male bisexuality exposes the fraudulent female bisexuals, and the phony nature of female sexuality in general.

Male bisexual orientation is extremely common, the figure being around 90% of all men. Most straight guys won’t admit to same-sex feelings because it is still heavily stigmatized.

Keep in mind that Mother Nature rarely comes in blacks and whites. Think of all the colors in between. Human sexuality is like that.

Christ I claimed to be bisexual from 15-22 myself. I’m still learning new things about bisexuality today at 26.

The kid is gay, he knows it, his mother knows it, and women in general apparently know it.

It’s amusing that the only places these bisexuality arguments pop up is on the internet. In real everyday life bisexuals are a damned rarity.

Once his mother said he was gay I assumed all argument over this kid would be done. His mother who lives with him, knows who he’s been dating since he started dating, and flat out said “I always knew.” has the final say for us the viewers. She truly knows him, we don’t. He’s gay, get over it.

Haven’t you noticed why gay men love mean famous women who pander to them? Madonna or Lady Gaga have NEVER given money to gay rights before they were famous. After? Gaga does gigs! Madonna smiles with her dancers!

Put next to Pedro from season 1, Mike is a joke. Mike doesn’t appear to be terribly smart, articulate or even funny. The only thing extraordinary is his bisexual behavior and his muscles both of which aren’t that uncommon–we’ve seen it before! I find it hard to believe they couldn’t find somebody with a genuine political/advocacy interest to actually take advantage of this DC opportunity. What kind of message is this sending?

Then beyond all that, it’s clear he’s not sure what he is. Like he’s not settled on his sexuality, does he like boys or girls more? When he answers those questions he’s thinking aloud, he hasn’t figured it out yet. So what grates on me is stuff like that AfterElton thing that’s all confrontation about being bisexual “DEAL WITH IT”. It’s just silly.

Besides, who cares? The Real World has already done the bisexual (at least in behavior) guy coming to terms with his sexuality with Davis. This story isn’t interesting at all–I’m sure they could have found a new perspective to explore.
