If We Can’t Have Adam Lambert, Nobody Can

Listen. Adam Lambert should win this little American Idol competition. And his shriek is his signature. But must the guy include it in every freakin’ song? This, from last night’s disco themed night, Lambert performs “If I Can’t Have You.”

This song was so nice up until that shriek.

Lambert is awesome, but he needs to know when to turn down the glam and when to kick it up. I would love to hear him do this whole song the way he started it.

I wish since it was Disco Night he would have done a “Gay Anthem”. “I Will Survive”, something like that.

But it seems that the contestants don;t REALLY get to choose what they want. Its beginning to look like they get a list of Songs or Perfomers whose songs they can do. Country Night was full of Johnny Cash. Last Night mostly Donna Summer and BeeGees.

boy that was a snoozer performance. It is a Bitch Slap song, not whiney heartstring song.

Sit Down Paula!

Team Kris, here. Adam Lambert’s first album might sell well to the kool aid drinkers, but then he’ll be at the local dinner theater with Rueben Studdard and Taylor Hicks

@Nick: I don’t know why it’s necessary to put one contestant down to support another, or to denigrate their fans. Adam and Kris are both talented, I hope they both have good careers after idol has finished.

Not Adam’s best performance, but everyone has an off night, and it was still good.

And that’s from a fan blog!

I didn’t like the arrangement or the shriek. Scary. But I love him and voted for him for an hour.

Shriek? That’s a high note youre talking about. None of the conteatants has able to reach Adam’s notes. His falcetto is amazing, and that brings him advantage among the contestants.

Tom: These are professional judges. They know what they’re doing.,Contestants are being judged every single note every single move & overall performance. You, only a public listener who judge wheteher u like the song/singer or not, you an unqualified has no right to say anything against true judges. Judges have their criteria in judging.

OK, I might be biased fan but people who gave negative comments about Adam are just plain stupid. You think you are better judge than those four judges. Until you prove you’re more successful than them, just shut up. Otherwise, you’re just a loser that just sit in front of computer thinking you know everything.

I agree with one comment, if you support someone, go praise him/her but don’t use those useless hateful comments toward the other.

Love Adam’s performance last night. Love his voice and and the arrangement. The “shriek” was perfect since it aptly showed the pain..the disco version also had that part as ah ah ah..Adam just made it more emotional..and here I thought gays are more artistic than all the comments shown here…sheeshh..

You are absolutely right, the glam thing was unnecessary but he seems to think it is his signature. It does all look so easy for him. I am just waiting for him to trip up which of course would be his utter downfall, being gay and all. Danny continues to be completely mediocre but is still a finalist. Kris is red hot.

Adam’s “shriek” is his signature AND that is why he uses it every time because it is what sets him apart from everyone else! I don’t know why some people has issues with his rock songs! Just appreciate the fact that he is an AWESOME performer!

Another point (attributed to idol blogger): The “casual” homophobic idol viewers are going to begin voting in the next few weeks; I predict christian-straight-white-guy-who-has-lost-his-wife will win.

To Jeff,Tom and Nick I completely understand your feeling of rejection from your girlfriends because they are getting head-over-heels crazy over Adam Lambert..sorry guys Adam is very addictive, debonair not to forget very hot which makes every woman young and old fantasize over him right now.
