If We Show You a Picture of Chris Salvatore Showering, Will You Watch His Music Video?

Though he’s generally auto-tuned to within an inch of his life, Chris Salvatore has some catchy club-worthy tracks. He’s also not afraid of full frontal.

You might’ve seen the gay LA-based actor singer exposed in Eating Out: All You Can Eat, the serial’s third flick. But he’s also trying to be a serious recording artist! Enter his video for “Dirty Love,” where I’m guessing the girls are there for comedic effect?

Whatever. Here’s the photo I promised you:

      I’ve always wanted to be a singer. I know I can’t sing. I don’t pursue that as a career. It would be silly. Why do people pursue things they shouldn’t? If you are going to need auto-tune to do your job (I’m looking at a lot of “singers”), why do you do it? Money and fame, duh! I’m so stupid.

      The same for actors while I’m at it. If you play the same damn character in every movie, your not acting; your a brand. It’s lame. It gets old, it wears thin, but at least you made money. Sorry, I’ve been think about these a lot lately, and it really irritates me.

      Why does everyone hate auto-tune? Most artists who use it can sing above average anyway and it is mostly used because the effect it makes is very good and it’s popular e.g OMG – Usher, Believe – Cher, Heartless – Kanye West, ALL these artists have proven they have talent anyway.

      Chris is hot. The girls are hot. That’s about it.

      The auto-tuning kills it for me, so does the club-style music. Not a bad video without the sound. I checked out his stuff on iTunes, nothing which made me jump for joy. Either auto-tuned to death or whiny folksy-style music.

      I’d like to like and support him (hey openly gay is a good thing), but I’m not going to spend $$$ on his stuff if it isn’t good…

      Discovered Chris when I saw Eating Out All You Can Eat..led me to his music, which is actually pretty good…He does several covers of Britney, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, plus original stuff…he is actually a very talented singer/songwriter, and VERY easy to look at. I don’t understand why the LGBT community is filled with such negative haters…it must just be jealousy. I personally wish Mr. Salvatore all the luck in finding his dream…he is much more talented than many big name stars out there right now.

      @Tad:

      It’s not hating. Some of us don’t like club music, folk music, or auto tune. When did that become “hating”?

      I’ll take Rob Halford or Bob Mould or Morrissey over Mr. Salvatore, more to my taste in music. I prefer good rock to this stuff, that’s not “hating”.

      he’s cute, I’d do him.

      Give him props for being as bad an actor in the video as his films. But yeah, he’s cute. I like the caterpillars btw.

      @Lamar:

      Personally, my problems aren’t with the artists that can actually sing. Rather, they are with the artists that can’t, and expect autotune to make ‘em a star. Reminds me of the boyband episode of the Simpsons a decade ago.
