In California, it smells like fish

Gay fish

What do gay rights have to do with fish? In California, everything.

The amendment to the state’s family code legalizing marriage for gay men and women that just passed the State Assembly failed to move back in June. It only came back for a vote now because gay Democrat Mark Leno inserted the bill’s contents into another bill concerning marine fisheries pending in the Senate.

No Republicans voted in favor of the amendment — and we send out a Queerty salute to each and every one of them. A Queerty salute, incidentally, is so base and vulgar we can’t even describe it to our readership, though any Republican deserves having to push their nose in and whiff it.

“We damage the moral fabric of our society, that’s what’s damanged here,” spewed Republican Assemblyman Dennis L. Mountjoy. Which only brings about our encouragement that you stain said fabric. Take bigotry by its seams and rip it to smithereens. Or send it to Sticht for a nice comforter.

For those of you who haven’t eaten fish lately, lap some up and show your support.
