Above you see Indiana politician Tony Zirkle and a few of his neo-Nazi friends celebrating Adolf Hitler’s birthday yesterday. Yes, seriously…
We love the festive pin-up “Happy 119th Birthday” sign, as if he’s still alive. Because, in their minds, he is…

The swasitka should not be banned – not even in Germany. It goes against the very essence of democracy and freedom of speech, isn’t that what the war was about? Educate, remember, scoff at the fools but don’t ban them.

Couldn’t they at least bother to do the greeting in German?
What a pathetic reproduction of the real thing. I hope they choke.

Ditto jobradfield ;
The stange fact is that our gov’t has drifted far in that direction anyway; Look up:> Bush and Fascism<
I just saw a new film out by Michael Verhoeven, who dispels the postwar coverup by right wing and Nationalist groups to put ther blame for attrocities on the SS, Gestapo, Himler, Hitler etc. instead of on the actual perpertrators: the German people who very popularly wanted to brutalise and kill Jews
and other unpopular people. No one wanted to have to explain theat “grandpa was a murderer”. There was a strong postwar effort to blame the leaders; Letters and interviews say just the opposite: genocide was a popular movement, not just obedience.
That can happen here: gays ampong other groups are not too popular. look at the jailing and rendition of Arabs now(6000 missing)
