Finally, someone has designed a condom with a bottom in mind! Daniel Resnic has redesigned the condom for receptive anal intercourse. Resnic has also designed new condoms from men and women. All are meant to be safer and provide more pleasure. Because the condom is inserted into the anus, the top doesn’t have to wear a condom himself, simulating sex without a condom. If the condoms are approved then they could be on the market as early as 2015. Though these don’t exactly look like something you can fit into your wallet. These are why bedside tables were created.
Watch the bizarrely detailed concept video above and if you’re brave enough, check out the male and female condoms.
QJ201
I’m in, I’ve fucked guys with the female condom and it works well. This looks like it would feel good too. Though how much? If it gets too pricey, won’t sell.
scsa1fan
I don’t think I want to use condoms designed from men and women
Scribe38
I don’t think I want to see something hanging out of a guys butt when I top him, but I’m all for safer sex no matter how it comes about. Maybe it is just a matter of getting use to another product. I guess having a sandwich bag on your p-enis use to look pretty stupid too when condoms first came out too.
Mr. E. Jones
@QJ201:
The original female condom was actually designed for gay men to use during anal sex. The FDA refused to approve the condom saying they didn’t want to promote anal sex, and the company didn’t want to advertise to gay men. So they decided it would now be a female condom, and marketed it as such.
Fitz
I hope it’s effective– but I am sadly cynical. I think that “Danger” is one of the things that turns people on. Between that and cost.. I don’t know. On the other hand, a lot of guys are squeemish. Maybe if it were marketed as a way to avoid getting shit on your pecker it would have a good chance.
Niall
Nah seems like too much trouble, the normal condom works just fine rn most of the time
boring
Given enough time, patience and concentration
I could probably beat off to that instruction video.
Matt
sick!
Dixie Rect
It looks like a Keurig K-Cup, you know for that coffee maker.
Jawsch
@Mr. E. Jones: This is actually 100% accurate. 😛
Sadly, 99% of the people I inform of this are unaware and don’t believe me. My local LGBT Pride Center taught me that when I was a teen, looked into it and found out it was true.
Fidelio
I dunno how I feel about fucking a candy wrapper. Why can’t someone come up with a liquid condom, like band-aid.
petensfo
They need to make clear that the wearer is the one doing that initial lubricating w/ the two fingers… otherwise, it’s not actually safe sex.
Raquel Santiago
@Fitz: Danger has always been something that turns on society and it doesnt matter whether its gay or straight. But ya i agree.
Origami Condoms
@QJ201: We can’t reveal the price yet but stay tuned 🙂
Origami Condoms
@Scribe38: Good attitude! We are aiming to make the ORAI condoms so you don’t even have to see it before you “slip in”.
Origami Condoms
@boring: LOL, thanks, I guess.
Origami Condoms
@Niall: As a top, with this you dont have to think of protection, as a bottom, it protects you from STDs and makes sure you end up having great sex. How is that “too much trouble”?
daninmarina2
@QJ201: The ORIGAMI Anal Condom is design to comfortably and easily insert anorectally, and it is specific to fit the anatomy and stay in which that baggy look. See company’s website, http://www.ORIGAMICONDOMS.com for more images and details.
Sweet Boy
Do I have to use ID Lube with the Origami?
Can I use KY too?
GayTampaCowboy
I actually think this is a BRILLIANT PRODUCT!
Look, how many of us (whether single or in a relationship) like to “clean out” before anal sex – and if you’re like even more of us, that decision often means taking a break from foreplay so the bottom can take care of business. So, what’s the problem with, if after all the hot kissing, sucking, rimming, fingering, toy-play,etc, the guy who’s going to bottom comes out of the shower/bathroom with that product already inserted.
Imagine the joy on the tops face when he know’s he dosn’t have to roll down a latex condom and can just lube up and slide in a protected rectum. Safer sex means having to be prepared – this is just the next evolution towards that end – and i applaud the company for creating this product.
My only counsel is that when they DO market it to gay men, they need to create a “how to” video with a REAL man using it. Look at the Fleshlight instructional videos. They show a real man with a real erect penis how to use the product. To increase usage of this condom, they should have a very clear, clinical instructional video with a REAL gay man putting it in!
just my 2 cents worth
Origami Condoms
@GayTampaCowboy: thank you so much! yes, this is an early instructional video. actually, tomorrow we are launching an Indiegogo campaign to help us with our promotional efforts, so that we can make new and improved vids.
seaki
@GayTampaCowboy: I’m sorry but I had to respond to this comment. I assuming that you are a young dude, because if you like to bottom, planning is the key. NOT douching just because his dick won’t actually touch your waste,..Ewwwwwwww is just plain lazy and filthy. ANYTIME Anything goes in your ass you should WELL prepared, which means clean and hygienic, ready for oral AND anal pleasure. This is why so many *bugs are going around, cause you young dudes don’t douche, and or douche poorly. If you have to get up from kissing and fondling,to douche, then you have missed the Gay Bottoms Memo that was passed around like centuries ago. Every dude knows to prepare BEFORE your date even shows up, and if you want to do a little spontaneous anal plundging maybe at a club with a hot guy, to prepare before the club. That’s just lazy
seaki
@Origami Condoms: PLEASE include sizes for the extra thick, long boys. I DONT want to pick this up for my husband and I, and he tells me it’s too tight,…..but in a bad way! One reason we BOTH love the female condom, because his big jimmy fits perfectly 🙂
viveutvivas
@Origami Condoms, cold you put that on Youtube? VIMEO does not play on many (most?) computers.
Origami Condoms
@seaki: have you ever heard the definition of spontaneous? also no need to be self-righteous about the way other people do sex.
Origami Condoms
@viveutvivas: yes, you can visit our You Tube Channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/OrigamiCondoms
daninmarina2
@QJ201: Hey, the ORIGAMI Condom will work much better than a female condom. the FC isn’t anatomy-specific for anal sex like the ORIGAMI Anal Condom. It’s designed by a gay man for a gay man. It will be very affordable. Stay in touch thru the website http://www.origamicondoms.com
daninmarina2
@Scribe38: The ORIGAMI Condom does not have a hanging baggy . I agree, that would look creepy. The ORIGAMI lays flat against your partner’s butt hole and made of transparent inconspicuous silicone. Getting positive results from clinical trial ongoing in Boston. Stay in touch thru website http://www.origamicondoms.com
daninmarina2
@Mr. E. Jones: That’s misinformation. The female condom does not have that history. Neither design for nor tested for anal sex. Never happened. Look for the ORIGAMI Anal Condom. The research was supported by grants from the NIH…during the Bush admin surprisingly. I doubt he knew anything about it though. LOL
daninmarina2
@Fitz: It does that too. Any suggestion for an ad campaign based on your idea? LOL
daninmarina2
@Niall: “Most of the time”? What happens the other times? What issues do you encounter? What would you like to see improved?
daninmarina2
@boring: LOL. Not intended for that. There’s enough porn out there. This was an instruction video. Maybe the company will consider a porn version. LOL
daninmarina2
@Dixie Rect: It looks rigid in the pic but it’s very soft and super stretchy.
daninmarina2
@Origami Condoms: Right on! The ORIGAMI Anal Condom also reduces the irritation that can happen with latex condoms after going at it for a while. Thes new condoms let you go as long as you want and the bottom partner will not get irritated. Very daft smooth and non-allergenic.
daninmarina2
@Sweet Boy: You can use ANY water based or oil lube but not a silicone lube. Not compatible with the silicone condom.
daninmarina2
@GayTampaCowboy: Hey Tampa Cowboy, Thanks for the props and thanks for getting it. That is exactly what I had in mind after a latex condom broke and I got HIV. As the inventor I very much appreciate your comments. We will indeed be planning a new fun video for marketing. Hmmm, think about the auditions for that one! LOL Maybe we will partner with the porn video producers.
daninmarina2
@seaki: The ORIGAMI Anal Condom (and the other 2 types) are all super 2-way stretch silicone. One size FITS all, not one size FOR all. We considered all sizes from small to jumbo! It works.
daninmarina2
@Origami Condoms: The ORIGAMI designers considered spontaneity and factored that into the speed for insertion. Also, the ORIGAMI Anal Condom can be inserted hours before sex with no discomfort. Walk, dance, run. You cannot feel it inside. Thanks for the comments.
iddles
Well, femidoms have existed for a long long time and they’re essentially the same thing, if slightly less ergonomic. I’ve always been surprised that femidoms aren’t the default for anal sex as so many men complain about regular condoms causing them to lose their erections due to the loss of the feeling of friction. It seems to me that lots of seroconversions could have been prevented if femidoms had just been marketed as “analdoms” or similar.
Matt
@seaki: You guys sound like you’re living in the 70’s. Anal is so passe and a killer for sure.
